I had a thought about your gin bottle…my husband is from Mississippi and they have a tradition called a bottle tree. It is usually wrought iron or wood and you put bottles on the arms. They are usually in the garden and the prettier the bottle, the more lovely the tree. We have cobalt, amber, clear and green. There are so many lovely wine and alcohol bottles out there to collect and because the trees are supposed to bring good luck to the home, you could use bottles that have a special meaning to you and Adam. Here, in Alabama, there are a lot of craftspeople who sell them at festivals and arts and craft shows, but I’ll bet you could find them on line. Love all your gifts and again, Happy Birthday😘
I turn 30 next month and I am very content with it. My 20s were a painful rollercoaster and I’ve emerged with a better mental state, a house, a job, an amazing partner and a small handful of life-long friends. Ready to embrace my 30s and start exploring the world with the money and confidence I didn’t have in my 20s! Also Cheryl Bowl made me giggle like a 15 year old again ❤️

But I do have to remind myself that life just happens, we grow older whether we want to or not, and you're always meant to be exactly where you are 😊

I would recommend the open top bus 🚎 It’s really chilled compared to doing it in other cities/towns, that would help you get your bearings. The Fashion Museum is also a good thing to see as it’s quite small and unique, it’s spaced over two rooms. It is right next to The Royal Crescent x
I love the intro to this video. As a 41 year-old lady, I love being the age I am. I look back on 20s with fondness, but not wishing I was still there. I have learned to have a more confident voice and be more sure in what I want. What's important to me is more apparent than ever. Your 20s can be fun, but it's also massively stressful with money and school and career. Things have certainly settled a bit, and I don't have to count pennies to buy gas anymore. I feel like I can really focus on me and what I love about life. Happiest of Birthdays, Lucy! I really feel like your 30s are going to be a great lead-in to the next stage in life!

Yours is a channel I always come back to time and time again. You just radiate so much joy. As someone who is also surfing their latter teens and start of a professional career full of insecurity and a lack of self confidence, I really resonate with this. I’ve seen some of the other comments asking for a 30 things I’ve learnt at 30 and I’d love a video like that too - especially with the things you’ve learnt about insecurity growing up. Also Bath is beautiful and is very local to me - I’d recommend Sub 13 as a homey and bougée cocktail bar with lovely outdoor terrace and also Sweet Little Things as an independent café with gorgeous cakes!! Happy belated Birthday Lucy. What a great selection of gifts. Your friends and family really know you well and the Cheryl bowl was genius, had me laughing too. Ridiculous but fun 🤣. Getting older does give you more confidence in yourself with each decade that passes. You start to care less about what other people think and become more comfortable in your own skin, which of course is a good thing. I look back at photo's of myself in my late teens/early 20's when I was a size 10 but did not appreciate then what a good body I had, as I didn't have the confidence in myself and didn't think I looked good. Now at nearly 59, I have bottles of confidence but sadly not the slim body I once had, but TBH it doesn't really bother me all that much as I am totally not bothered about what anyone thinks so I am just me and wear what I think I look good in and I don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks. All those years of worrying and overthinking what everyone might or might not think of me is just such a waste of valuable time. Live it, don't fret it, we only live once so just enjoy it.

First, Happy Belated Birthday!!!!! 30 is a big one. I hate to say that I wasn't so ok with my thirtieth. Things hadn't settled in like they have now. I'm despairing at becoming 30 in next 6 months, my skin care anti-wrinkle routine getting out of hand 😂 I'm getting their with grasping a more positive attitude like you but not quite there yet - I've only just found my calling in life, and it just so happend to be nursing training in the midst of pandemic 😂😅 though I'll qualify as I turn 30 so Im hoping i'll feel content that I haven't failed at life at that point. Fingers crossed!!! In Bath you must go to the thermal spa, it is dreamy! We did that, the Roman baths and a boujee champagne afternoon tea at the pump rooms. Bath is my homecity, so here are some recs: - Toppings & Company bookshop - has ladders, so Beauty and the Beast dreams - Mr B's Emporium for more cute indie bookshop realness - The Royal Crescent (obvs) and the circle just along from it, which is a gorgeous roundabout of georgian houses with a big tree in the middle - Prior Park (National Trust) and the Bath skyline walk - or Alexandra Park for views over Bath - Mrs Potts - chocolate cafe just off the square by Bath Abbey - Putney Bridge/the weir is just nice and walking along the weir/riverside - Graze is a lovely place for food with nice outside seating as well as inside

I just turned 29 a couple days ago and I’m super excited to be 30 next year. I’m so happy you had such a lovely day!! The 20s can be such a hot mess but I feel like the 30s are that age where you’re more settled with yourself and feel bit more comfortable with who you are.

Just turned 30 in January. It was great and I was lucky to spend it with people I love! I think as women especially, we come into our own in our 30s and leave all the rest behind. Happy birthday to you!
First, Happy Belated Birthday!!!!! 30 is a big one. I hate to say that I wasn't so ok with my thirtieth. Things hadn't settled in like they have now. I have a feeling I might feel that way once I turn 40. But I'm glad you feel this way and I hope it just keeps getting better from here. Also, the Cheryl bowl is hilarious!

I'm despairing at becoming 30 in next 6 months, my skin care anti-wrinkle routine getting out of hand 😂 I'm getting their with grasping a more positive attitude like you but not quite there yet
- I've only just found my calling in life, and it just so happend to be nursing training in the midst of pandemic 😂😅 though I'll qualify as I turn 30 so Im hoping i'll feel content that I haven't failed at life at that point. Fingers crossed!!!
In Bath you must go to the thermal spa, it is dreamy! We did that, the Roman baths and a boujee champagne afternoon tea at the pump rooms. Deffo could beat New York anyday in my opinion, good job Adam!!!

I turned 30 Feb 28th, but I can't say I've felt the weird 30 fluster I was quite happy to leave my 20s behind, I also feel quite confident and secure in my life and myself and it feels so good. Happy birthday Lucy!

- Toppings & Company bookshop - has ladders, so Beauty and the Beast dreams
- Mr B's Emporium for more cute indie bookshop realness
- The Royal Crescent (obvs) and the circle just along from it, which is a gorgeous roundabout of georgian houses with a big tree in the middle
- Prior Park (National Trust) and the Bath skyline walk - or Alexandra Park for views over Bath
- Mrs Potts - chocolate cafe just off the square by Bath Abbey
- Putney Bridge/the weir is just nice and walking along the weir/riverside
- Graze is a lovely place for food with nice outside seating as well as inside
