FIRST CLASS on Jakarta's Bullet Train (Not what I Expected!) 🇮🇩

- I rode first class on Jakarta's high speed bullet train! This travel experience was not what I expected. It was super luxury and modern, not only in first class but also the business class was amazing too.
The bullet train can reach a top speed of 350km/h which is really impressive. You really don't feel like you're going that fast whilst inside the carriage of the train.
I began my journey at Halim station in Jakarta and was heading to Tegalluar in Bandung. A journey that before this bullet train would take three hours, now it only takes 40 minutes. That is an incredible improvement to the travel time.
It cost me 600,000 Indonesian Rupiah which is around $37. For first class I would say that is an absolute bargain. I was really excited to see this Jakarta bullet train.
I arrived super early at Halim station, which was very clean and modern. I grabbed an iced coffee and made my way into the VIP lounge inside the station.
After around 30 minutes waiting in the VIP lounge it was time to board the bullet train.
To see this magnificent train in real life is really quite amazing, it looks very futuristic and modern. There were lots of people taking pictures at the front of the train.
Upon boarding I found the first class cabin to be very wonderful and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Although the journey was only 40 minutes you still recieve a snack box, which includes some bread, apple juice and a water.
After the smooth train ride, we arrived at Padalarang station, where I then switched over to a regular slow train to take me into the city centre of Bandung.
This transportation was such a unique travel experience and full on luxury experience! I highly recommmend this Indonesia bullet train. The first class train cabin was great and I highly recommend it for your trip from Jakarta to Bandung.

3 bulan akhir 2022 Bolak balik Jkt Cimahi mengendarai mobil lewat toll yg super macet karena istri sakit blood cancer. Saat itu KCIC sdg tahap finishing. Berharap secepatnya selesai agar tdk terlalu suffer. Tapi takdir berkata lain des 2022 istri meninggal Dunia setelah berjuang dengan sakitnya. Klo melihat stasiun KCIC padalarang sesak dada ini teringat kenangan dan harapan. Sampai saat ini cimahi Bandung dan sekitarnya adalah satu2 tempat terindah yg sy hindari karena kenangannya. Main problem was land acquisition in Maharashtra state...and also the pandemic hitted harder than expected...we had oxygen shortage for many months

Yeah, it's true that the train doesn't end in Bandung city center, but its ok, the feeder train from Padalarang works and doesn't take one hour. It's true that the ticket is expensive for most Indonesians but by international standards it's not expensive.@@jamilsalim4454

India really needs good fast train transportation because India has a very large population and it can connect India's big cities and speed up India's economy and tourism. I'm sure the Indian government can do it because Indonesia's president is very good and has a good vision and mission in the next 10 years.

I come from Indonesia. At 08:07, that's the vice president, sir, not the previous president. So that's how the photos of the president and deputy are always next to each other and above them is the Pancasila symbol. Photos of previous presidents were not displayed, only in a few special places, for example in museums and so on. I hope you have a pleasant trip, sir, all the Indonesian people really appreciate it, sir😊👍

Amazing fast train, I am amazed and proud of my own country 🇮🇩❤😊 . I've ridden the fast train when I went home for Eid with my family to Bandung it was comfortable, safe and very clean. And I'm sure this year's Eid will be full of people using the Jakarta-Bandung this high speed train

The right time to walk around and buy food and drinks is at 4 in the afternoon or at night, at that time there are more traders selling and the atmosphere is definitely very busy😉👍🏼

Seharusnya pihak petugas kcic memberitahu penumpang kalau mau ke Bandung turun di padalarang, karena tegal luar jauh dari kota bandung, juga gak ada feeder train. Banyak yg tersesat dan bingung.
Announcer di kereta cepat harusnya memberi tahu sebelum masuk stasiun PADALARANG!! bagi yg mau meneruskan perjalanan ske Bandung Kota turun di padalarang dan melanjutkan dengan kereta feeder begitu ..pastinya adalah pemberintahaun ini biar penumpang awam ngga bingung

Jason is too poorly informed abt. this train.
The train is a JUST very short traject/portion of a much much longer END PLAN spanning 1000km to the city of Surabaya.
So the project is not a completed one yet... in fact FAR from finished.
It doesn't EVEN really start in the capital of Jakarta but in an area of an abandoned old airport...nor does it end in Bandung, but in a small town ONE HOUR by car or feeder train to the real cool city of Bandung in the hills.
Jason is a bit duped, as most Indonesians are...led to think that this bullet train is a READY commercially viable connecting transport for the public from Bandung to Jakarta vice versa.
IT IS NOT !! ( yet)
Now only the curious "HAVES" canafford riding this train and for NOVELTY SAKE only and the EXCITEMENT of being the AHEAD of the REST.....
The promised speed of 350km/h couldn't be reached in that short distance...that's my experience.

I recommend you IKN as your new journey. Because now it's Indonesian new capital city. You can go to Samarinda or Balikpapan as well. 😊
IKN is not yet open to the public, only for government officials and construction workers. The name of the new development is definitely very good, just like you come to elite housing in Jakarta, for example PIK is very luxurious and neatly arranged
