During layoffs or if there are any budget issue for the company, QA's , Scrum Master's and few Product managers are the first person to be laid off. This is my own experience from last 8 years of experience working with big MNC's. Seen a lot of layoffs since 2015 till 2023 and it's true story and most of the time they fire 90% of QA's and 95 % scrum masters. Also QA is highly underrated job if you have some personal aspiration to grow big within the organization. You will be less valued till you become some kind of lead or architecture. Most of the big tech companies now do the automation by using developers as it is pretty easier for them to write a code and make to less dependency to the QA's.
Very informative and interesting. Actually I am very senior IT person, but as you said learning attitude force me to watch different channels related to IT. Now this field is like sea. Amazing field to learn, to grow, to prove and of course to get out of it. The package I knew in market was beyond my imagination just because of fast moving technology.

one thing all QAs should learn is that they should not only focus on finding issues but also focus on why that issue is coming and in what scenario, this will be more helpful for developers. But in general, what we see is that QAs feel good when they find issues but at the same time it becomes very headache for developers specially when the issue is intermittent. But in any way breaking things is much easier than building them.

hi sir. i have done my MCA from IGNOU and have less than 60% marks in my 10th and 12th standard. have worked as customer support roles for 10 years. now i have been working with NatWest Group as Software Engineer(java, javascript) since 2021 and my colleague rate me as a very good coder. but companies like TCS, Wipro reject me on the basis of my marks in 10th, 12th standard. is there any scope for some one like me in this industry or should i be working in same company for my life.
Ofcourse you have scope, you can showcase your coding skills by solving leet code and mention that in your profile, that will add a great weightage to your profile for getting short listed in the companies which are hunting for talent more than marks secured. Also you can showcase your skills through your GitHub. I am a 9pointer and have been a topper throughout but skills are much more important than marks. And we need to be better in what we do, one is not judged by their marks everywhere, so please don’t worry.
