@@Ashleysarash Wrong assumption I would say, please check compensation of SDET and SDEs brother and the tools and automation definitely requires coding skills, the SDET coding interviews are equal to that of development. Testing is a really good role. Its a thing that if you to be one and sustain in that whole sick drama of devs and testers. I heard even the tools dev engineers in google are felt like 3rd rated

No Scope for testing . In my org dev only doing all things including automation. Fresher please don't go for testing profile even if paid well no future in testing/automation.

SDET is an entry level role. I'm a 2023 graduate and have recently joined Akamai Technologies as SDET.

One of my friend is SDET in a start up , he is earning 10 LPA as a fresher
Also College Tier matters a lot.
