    I assume the various mix busses described are used *exclusively* for the broadcast mix (otherwise you would not want them pre-fader)? If so, then most of the 32 channels are likely being fed to the main L&R directly for the FoH sound. In this case, you'd use DCA groups for sub-group style mixing for FoH, while you could blend the mix buss sub-groups as desired for the broadcast mix. For more granular control of the broadcast sub-groups, you'd adjust the relevant channel sends (and pan them L-R as desired). Was this the concept being implemented here? If I got this correct, is this your recommended approach when you have a second mix engineer available to focus on the broadcast mix?

      They have three stereo Bus pairs (Musicians, Vocals, Crowd Mics) that are setup as Pre-Fader Buses to keep them separate from the FOH mix. These can be mixed individually and allow their newer engineers basic three fader mix control into their stream. These three Buses feed into a Matrix to then be sent out to broadcast. My preferred method is to run one Stereo MixBUS pair as Pre Fader for a designated mix engineer. I also like to dedicate 2 FX (verb and delay) for this engineer to be able to craft their specific mix with no interaction from the FOH engineer.
