It's amazing how well articulated these are for when they came out, especially as they're reissues of older toys from Japan. I didnt have these but I did have the Beetleborgs by the same company, and the articulation blew my mind as a kid. They probably planted the seed of my figure collecting.
Never watched the original Power Rangers, but I had the Blue, Red, and a chrome Yellow as a kid, still have them in fact, WITH their guns. So happy to have them. That White Ranger looks amazing! Great vid Dan!

I still have mine and I just passed them down to my son who's about to be 2 yrs old and he loves MMPR now. Two are the classic, Three are the Movie editions, and One is the included Voice box figure. I got them on release so I grew up with them, I'm 30 now.
I've got a Red Ranger and a Gold Zeo Ranger still somewhere. I stuck with the show through Lost Galaxy (season 8 I think), when the American version stopped being interconnected. Got the DVD box-sets autographed by a LOT of the cast. Still working on getting the other autographs at conventions.
Three notes of interest: 1. The original 8 inch figures can be fragile today as the plastic used in the shoulder joints was made from a weak plastic and arms have been known to snap off if you are not careful. The toys were so cheap that the swivels on the waists and biceps can be tight on some figures and movement can snap the joint. I've had one Red and one White suffer from this. 2. The 5.5 inch Alien figures are some of the best toys money can buy, except for two (not including Lord Zedd, because aside from the light up gimmick really mucking up the design, he functions as advertised) Sword Slashing Goldar and Devouring Snizard Lips are extremely fragile toys. Made from the same Gold Plastic as White Ranger's shield, they will shatter if you are not careful. Goldar has been known to become green in color and we all know if that happens it's a matter of time before he splits somewhere. Snizard's spring loaded gimmick will shatter the toy if used frequently. The recoil effect will put so much stress on that plastic he will split at the mold lines. Moving his arms will also crack this cheap plastic. 3. Those cheap pegs holding the shields on the figures have been nightmarish for collectors. If you ever get one of these, do not snap the pegs all the way in, doing so will surely snap them off. Yes they suffer from the same GPS as Snizard and Goldar.
I have Devouring Snizard Lips from childhood. I remember the arms didn't move very well on it or the legs. It was hard to even get this figure to stand. I don't think I played with the mouth function too much. Sometimes I would pretend the snake was coming out of his mouth like from the episode.
Ive owned all my 8 inch figures basically since new as a kid and mine are still in great condition along with my original Megazord, Dragonzord, Thunder Megazord, Tigerzord, Zeo Megazord, Red Battlezord. My 8 inch figures do a karate action while my Green/ White don't due to their armor accessories! I know what you're talking about far as the pegs on their armor! Mine never broke but doesn't stay on and constantly falls off the figures! My simple fix to this besides the wobbly heads these suffered from was using super glue gel and permanently keeping their respective armor on their respective figures. Far as the wobbly heads I unscrewed the figures and used folded thick small pieces of paper towel bunched under the weak white plastic joint that keeps the heads solid. Once I did that I screwed them back together and the heads are tighter and still do their original movements. Works like a charm 👍
I love Mighty Morphin Power Rangers growing up and I had most of the toy and still do, The show was my childhood right up there with Batman The Animated Series. The Green Ranger was my favorite.
I saw fights happen when I was about three years old at Toys R Us for these toys man. It was ridiculous haha. My entire family had to line up just to get me that Green Ranger toy. Memories...
Wait... there are figures from this line that did NOT break?!? I was working at a toy store when these came out and the number of returns due to joints breaking was disturbingly high. Also, who ever thought it was a good idea to have four Red Rangers and only one each of the others per box should not have been allowed to work in the toy industry.
love these old toys i had all the small ones and big ones i was told there was a rare white ranger worth a lot bk in the day where i lived it was almost impossible to get the figures because they were so popular
2 seasons for me back in the gap. Can’t go back and look at it now but those 2 seasons’ Japanese counterparts, Zyuranger and Dairanger, totally give me my Power Ranger fix. The 2017 flick ain’t bad either.
I bought all these MMPR figures from a flea market for $25 the lot, they were in OK condition and some are missing their fingers but I'm happy with the deal - you can barely notice the faults when they're on a shelf. Much cheaper than buying each figure in great condition individually.

I was in 4th grade when the first season aired here. I watched it religiously right after Animaniacs every day after school. I could NEVER find these in toy shops, and the kids that did have them were very lucky. I've considered buying them now but I don't want them all; for this reason alone I can't collect them. If I get into something I need to have them all, and the desire just isn't there for these.

A lot of the white ranger 8 inch that you find on eBay come without the chest shield. Why is this? Was the shield prone to breaking or do you think people have just lost them over time?
I never liked and never will like power rangers. But these figures do look pretty good and would look nice on a display because of the eye popping colour and reasonable articulation.

I was in touch with Power Rangers, but since Samurai, am still catching up with every season, I think the one that didn't saw the year it premiered was RPM, and now, I am on the middle of the series, definitelly Mega/Super Megaforced would be a skip and once I get to finish Samurai, Dino Charge and Dino Super Charge are next

There is no official story, but what has been floating around in collector's circles was this: Bandai would only release the molds to their American counterpart if cosmetic changes were made, as to not be confused with their japan only products. So stickers were changed over. Others have said, because the rich color and ornate patterns of the labels made it difficult and expensive to reproduce and simply simplified things to save on color ink.
Jon Crane that could be because it was limited exclusive or the cost of ink was lower because the labels were all the same gold n black color with tints of red so they could be produced on the limited budget.
I had the red ranger when I was young. Rather, my brother's had the red ranger which I got when they both outgrew it. I remember a fateful day when I took a hatchet & the red ranger deep into the wooded part of my parent's house, where I proceeded to hack him to pieces on top of a felled tree. Hid the hatchet & buried the pieces after that.
At age 13 I might've sold all my Pokémon accessories and collectibles and other material things that I used to have of Pokémon back in the spring of 2000 in the garage sale did I put up outside of my house but one thing I never got rid of was my Mighty Morphin Power Rangers accessories and collectibles and other material things of the original mighty Morphin Power Rangers those things I still kept throughout from when I was a kid teen and even now as a grown-up that I happen to be nowadays and I'm keeping that forever and treasuring it and I say long live the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with the original cast members

As you may know I have never given up just forgot. Never again despite the Recent Shows. excluding Megaforce Super Megaforce.

why was part of voltron pixelated in the beginning of the video?
It relates to the pornography industry in Japan. They censor the genitals by pixelating them, hence why the robots' genital areas are pixelated here.
