Hell yes. I also remember Christmas morning looking at my presents. I looked at the biggest box, hoping that it was in fact the megazord. It was and i was so happy. The megazord and my transformers gridlock toy were my favourite. One of the best Christmases ever.
This to you is what the Ghostbusters firehouse was to me and my childhood. I was 3 or 4 when the real ghostbusters firehouse released and I wanted it terribly for Christmas. My dad drove around Pennsylvania from toy store to toys r us and back to toy store for an entire day trying to find one. Eventually he caught wind of a place and got there and there was an enourmous line. They opened the doors and he rushed to where the ghostbusters stuff was and nothing, and then he happened to hear a worker tell someone that there was a corner in the back of the store where they had a display with Ecto-1 and the firehouse and he rushed back there and managed to snag the very last one. He says not only was it almost exactly like the movie Jingle all the way, but as he made his way to the front of the store to pay he said he had people offering him up to $400-$500 just for him to hand over the toy to them so they could purchase it themselves. Unfortunately I don't have the firehouse anymore, but I certainly plan on getting another and cherishing it like none other like it was the one he personally got me. Gotta finish my Ranger collection first
I’m a 47 year old kid and boy oh boy! I just got one of these last week used PERFECT stickers ZERO scratches and NOTHING broken off! For FREE! THERE IS DEFINITELY A GOD SOMEWHERE!!!❤❤❤❤
Just spent 5 hours at my grandparents looking for my uncles old megazord. Found it, it was missing the gun and pterodactyl legs. Now i will put it at the top of my shelf cause its my holy grail
I never even saw the original Megazord (or Dragonzord, or Titanus for that matter) for sale *ANYWHERE* back in the day. Seemed like there were plenty of Season 1 MMPR toys around -- all the auto-morphing rangers except the girls, lots of monsters, 8-inch rangers, rangers on bikes, etc. -- but they just could not keep those zords on the shelves where I lived. The way the blue guy falls flat on his back after getting hit reminds me SO MUCH of how some of the monsters actually went out in the older episodes. Just missing a bunch of sparks and an oversized explosion.
You're so lucky to get 1993 version. It's very high price on ebay. second hand toys aren't cheap too, the only problem that they lost some parts and loose joints.
I’m… confused by this comment. “The Optimus Prime of Power Rangers” would make more sense, but there are many different Optimus Prime toys, as with Megazord. I assume you’re talking about the original Optimus from 1984, and comparing them because they’re both the originals?
I asked my brother to get this for me back in the day. When he came home he asked me to get something out of his car (a bag or something) and I saw it sitting there in the front passenger seat. No joke, I actually yelled, "Yes! I am the king!" I have no idea why I chose those words specifically. Anyway, when I got back in the house with the toy, my brother said, "Where's my bag?" (or whatever it was). Needless to say, I played the crap out of this for ages. Back then, I honestly couldn't make out any differences and thought it was screen accurate. Maybe it was the way it combined - exactly like the show. A few years later, after my Power Rangers interest had waned (I know, for shame) I even used it as a giant space robot which battled, of all things, the USS Enterprise from Star Trek: The Next Generation! Unfortunately, later still, my interest in PR was all but gone (though that was somewhat forced upon me by my family - they always hated the franchise), and I needed space in my room, so I actually... choke... threw the Megazord in the bin. Literally. It remains one of my greatest regrets. Oh, and for the record, it's not "Dino Megazord", dammit. It's just Megazord... or, at most the Original Megazord. Great vid, by the way!
When I was around 14 I think, I decided I was growing up, and threw out all my toys. Now I'm 17 and wish I still had all those toys, so now I've been buying toys and watching you reviews again. I regret throwing all those toys.
@@pdtheowl9292 Even at 33, I stil yearn to go back to simplier times. Wished i had never got rid of my vintage stuff from Transformers, MMPR 1993, Big Bad Beetleborgs, and other late 80's/90's toys.
Walmart just released each megazord individually oct 2020. 3 sets 13 each. My childhood dream is complete. Taradactle still falls off In tank mode lol snap together is great but no wheels on triceratops and dull plastic on most where you have it chromed but the stickers are good quality and holding up so far.
I dug out my 91 megazord and Dinozord the other day. Just tracked down a sword for it. Need to find the shield next, then he's complete. The Dinozord still needs a tail, then he'll be completed as well. I bvividly remember buying both for 3 bucks and two Pog slammers from one of my friends when we were about 7 and had no sense of monetary value. His mother was quite annoyed when she found out, considering it was still brand new and she spent far more than 3 bucks lol.
These videos have made me get the willingness to go tear thru my storage unit and find my boxes of power rangers stuff and go thru it. I had everything back then, the power blaster and morpher bundle, the Dino, thunder, Ninja and shogun megazords etc. I'm gonna pull them out of storage, get some fresh decals from bd15 and then sell the originals (except Shogun) since I have everything in a legacy or S.O.C form or both
I know nothing about Power Rangers, and I care even less, but my friend’s dad showed up to my house with a box of vintage toys, including this, so I’m hoping this video will show me how to split apart the different pieces. Edit: I figured it out. I’m missing the pterodactyl one, and the mastodon head, and the swords, but I have enough to have a robot with arms, legs and stuff, and this is an _awesome_ toy!
I never got to own the original Megazord until the recent Hasbro Megazord (that now proudly sits on my shelf with the BD-15 Sticker sheet applied, with some of my custom paint work) but I remember my Nan having the Sabretooth Tiger and the Tyrannosaurus, however, I couldn't remember where they were from because it was YEARS after MMPR had ended and as a kid, I mainly knew Wild Force and the Disney era was my era of Power Rangers until months later I found out, just as she sold them

I truly miss Fox Kids. But I never had a chance to own the dino megazords. I do have the thunderzords. Got them last year. The original Power Rangers will always be my personal favorite. The best moments just watching all these great shows seven days a week. Like Eek the Cat, The Animaniacs, Bobby's World, Batman, Gargoyles. If you remember these shows your a true 90's person.
Ever since original mighty morphing aired on TV I always wanted a megazord but Myfamily was poor I had to settle with dollar store toys so I never got That one until Power Rangers zeo aired on TV and my first was warrior wheel
Zyuranger really was the Perfect choice for the first season. Whenever I look at the Prezyu mecha, they all feel kinda same-y. And the engineering isn't as great as it is here. Also, this was the first one with a sixth member that stayed more than one or two episodes
IIRC, “Mighty Morphin” got omitted from international packaging of the original MMPR toys because of good ‘ol censorship regarding the “Morphin” being a letter away from “morphine”
I'd say the original Dino Megazord is way better than the 2010 and Legacy Dino Megazords, but second best to the Soul Of Chogokin Dino Megazord. Dinozords are the best zords ever in my opinion.
My cousin had one of these and he brought it to a family reunion and it was the coolest thing I ever saw until that point. I could never actually convince my parents to buy me one though.
Waitaminute. In the UK it's common to have the gifts brought into the bedrooms? I thought that was just in Harry Potter because it was essentially college dorms for 11-17 year olds and kids are thieves
I’m getting the legacy black edition version this year, hopefully so I can combine it with the legacy black edition dragonzord to create the battle mode. I am so excited!
Had this and the Tigerzord. Favorites were always Green, White, and Gold Ranger(Jason). But damn I never got the Dragonzord. My old man did, and asked to have it for like twenty years. I’m old enough now and finally got a Legacy Dragonzord of my own. Oh, also had the Thunderzord. But damn man I beat the shit out of those Zords. Don’t have them anymore.
This was by far my favourite toy growing up. But when I was a kid, I did the stupidest thing with my Pterodactyl Zord and I regret it to this day. I stuck it inside a lamp to replicate the scene of it emerging from a volcano in the show, left it there overnight, and the plastic in the tail warped. Since then it's never been able to connect to the Megazord properly, even with my attempts to modify it.
