One minute you think you're a pretty good woodworker, the next you see the work and admire this guy making a great box out of almost firewood. Great job sir, and very inspiring!
Your chanel truely is a blessing, Jason. Not only for your skill and patience but also for the lack of attention-seeking. No blasting music, no fancy intro, no begging for subscription. Just the pure beauty of creating masterpieces from scratch. A concept that seems to work for a lot of viewers. Almost at 30k views not even 24h after upload. Just as most of us grabbing a drink and finding some quiet place to watch your work, I hope you do the same when browsing through the hundrets of comments of appreciation and praise. Thanks for your inspiration Jason!
Lol. You got me! There was I thinking Mr meticulous was losing his touch with the poorly fitting corners, then of course your precision engineered brass plates saved the day! Another beautifully designed and crafted marvel. Thank you and bless you.
In this world of mass produced items, it is refreshing to watch a craftsman create something so amazing by hand from reused materials. Fantastic job! I'm sure Mrs. Upcycling loves her gift.
Beautiful piece of work. This is the sort of video I like. No music, no unnecessary chatting just the sound of the work shop and straight forward filming without Hollywood antics.
It's so good to see a true craftsmen at work. Jason you must love your wife very much. This looks like a family heirloom in the making. And I've just subscribed.
Saturday evening and a new video from Epic UpCycling. Fantastic! EDIT: Such wonderful skill and imagination to recycle old furniture. This is the necessary skills that a generation of children should be learning in school
I fully agree with this comment and opinion. This is really something for practice and more educational than kilos of paper with all kinds of texts about tricks of working with wood and chisels.
All the way through I was asking myself, why has he left the box joints protruding? And then he only goes and puts brass squares in them...Genius. Love watching this channel.
Just when you think Jason has once again up cycled yet another masterpiece he only goes and does brass inlay to make it even better. WTF Jason give us mere mortals a fighting chance please.
The level of planning and detail is amazing. The copper accents, the lovely blue velvet, detailed measurements and the Cookie Crisp cardboard liner 😂. Charming and well done!
Your wife is a very lucky lady. I wouldn't be surprised if she holds this dear than anything you have ever bought for her. Your knowledge, know how, and time in taking trash and making a treasured item, an heirloom perhaps, from it is so much better than buying something ready made. The only thing men have made for me is trouble. I sew and do arts and crafts for a hobby so I do know something about creating and making an item from scratch. I try to make good items but I could never make anything as beautiful as this. Totally beautiful.
An artisan jeweler who manages to master the irreducible nature of materials, just as a poet models language and words. I am so glad I subscribed to receive every notification whenever you upload your videos. I don't comment quite often but this project left me in awe! Your wife will absolutely remember this gift and your children, too, for the rest of their lives. I truly hope that she had a wonderful day. 🌹🌹🌹
I have been watching this guys videos for a few years. Everytime I am just blown away by the craftsmanship and details, he adds to all his projects. It's not new wood from a big box store or exotic woods, it's stuff he is recycling into a piece of artwork. The end results are astonishing.
Stunning build. Love the box joint construction. The brass inserts were wonderful. The number of velvet wraps was staggering. Detail, detail, loved it.
Always a joy to see my favorite woodworker across the atlantic create something great. I just poured some tea and now I will enjoy the entire video quietly. 😊
Very nice. I first got into it thinking,oh not more wooden boxes, but I suddenly was fascinated watching you make it, and everything fitted and had a place. Well done and I have no doubt your wife was very happy with her gift.
Another project beautifully completed! Your wife must be so proud! As always, your attention to detail is amazing. I kept wondering why the mitered edges were staggered; then I saw you place the brass inserts. Brilliant!!!
Broken old drawers, cereal box card and plastic tubing turned into the highest quality jewellery box. It's like your own brand of magic. I love that this is for your wife! You had me wondering for a bit why you'd cut out the ends of the dovetails, but then I realised of course you're going to make it extra special. It's beautiful and I hope she loves it.
Happy wife, happy life! 🙂 You must be a very, VERY happy man, Jason! I would go crazy with joy with a gift like this! This box is another fantastic piece of art!
That's a marvelous jewelry ✨️ box! I'm sure Mrs. Epic will be overjoyed with her gift. I wanted to tell you how much I admire your endeavors and your clean, well set-up workshop. You are a good example of keeping a safe and tidy working environment 👍 Most Excellent!
What a beautiful jewellery box absolutely stunning. I hope your wife loved the box. Thank you for sharing Jason another one of your outstanding creations ❤
OMG!! How lovely it would be to receive a jewelry box from a loved one BUT to receive something this BEAUTIFUL and handmade would be so much more wonderful! This box is AMAZING and will be loved forever! Its truly a phenominal gift!❤❤ I have just subscribed to your channel!
First some old drawers, then a pile of kindling, next a jigsaw made of wood strips, and finally another little masterpiece of woodcraft. Your work is so fascinating and satisfying to watch.
Hi Jason, whilst you have created another "magical" piece of beauty - which I'm sure your wife will get to enjoy for many years - I have to say that tonight, I took the time out of my crazy schedule to just immerse myself in the tranquility of watching you create.. Watching you brought "stillness" to mind, so thank you for that! As always Jason, thanks and regards, Mark (ZA)
It's fun watching this Channel, amazing work, and then spotting something in the background and wondering how that came together... and then breaking into the video to watch that one
This is absolutely gorgeous! I bet your wife was well pleased. I make keepsake boxes out of fallen tree limbs myself. I gave a few away as Christmas gifts to family. They were quite shocked that I made them myself. My sister used hers for her dog's ashes. That was an honor to me.
Yet again i watched as you made something so beautiful from materials most people would dump in a skip. I did wonder about the raised edges until you installed the brass strips. Well done and thanks for sharing with us.
I can only echo the comments of others. Your work is exceptional Jason and I avidly await each of your new creations. I do also watch every film at least twice!
There is something really special about watching a master craftsman at work but to watch you is an absolute privilege. Mrs Epic is one lucky lady to have such a beautiful box to hold her treasures. Rosewood is a gorgeous timber and pairing it with the rich blue velvet is perfect, even if it does wrap around cereal packets 🤣. The added detail of the brass is also just lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with us mere mortals!
That was fantastic work, Jason. Well done. Very nice finish, and the interior looks quite regal. Pretty the Missus loved it. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Absolutely lovely! Perhaps not as big and "epic" as your usual projects. But still quite intricate and made with just as much dedication (and love 😊). I'll bet your wonderful wife absolutely loves it. Thanks again for sharing your talent with all of us.
The work you do is absolutely amazing, the skill and craftsmanship is unlike anything I’ve seen. The attention to detail, you are truly blessed with a gift . Keep sharing that ability.
Absolutely pristine, and the perfect balance of gleam, glisten and glow. The warm glow of the wood, the gleam of the brass, and a glistening mirror, all in a beautifully thought out arrangement softened by ... what could be more perfect? ... 'Blue Velvet ', (and now that song's playing on my internal jukebox). I bet Mrs. Epic was over the moon!
Great job! Watching the video, a popular saying came to mind (I hope the translator does a good job) "the best of gifts is never in a package, but in the hands that give it." kind regards
One minute you think you're a pretty good woodworker, the next you see the work and admire this guy making a great box out of almost firewood. Great job sir, and very inspiring!
Thanks very much :)
Lui non è un falegname, lui è un artista
Just beautiful
"Oh, that is interesting - corners shortened like that you don't see very often...."
Damn! Brass inlays! Beautiful!
Minucioso y precioso trabajo. ¡Un excelente artesano! 👏🏼

Thanks for your wonderful comments, Michael :)
Everything on hold! Change of plans now that I see there's a new vid. Very rarely do I get excited on UA-cam. This chanel is an exception.
I’ve never even heard of this channel until now so that’s cool that you’re a regular lol
I would absolutely cry(happy tears) if my spouse gave me something like this. Gorgeous work as usual.
Thanks :)
Lol. You got me! There was I thinking Mr meticulous was losing his touch with the poorly fitting corners, then of course your precision engineered brass plates saved the day! Another beautifully designed and crafted marvel. Thank you and bless you.
I couldn't agree more.
Shame on you for even thinking such a thing 😂 😂
I was thinking the same thing... "now when is he going to fix that?"
Same! I was wondering what was coming along.
I don’t even know how to respond to this this was a really really weird comment lol it made no sense 🤨
I’ve been in the construction business for over 40 years, never have I seen any one better at carpentry than you, truly amazing work.
Thanks very much :)
In this world of mass produced items, it is refreshing to watch a craftsman create something so amazing by hand from reused materials. Fantastic job! I'm sure Mrs. Upcycling loves her gift.
Mrs. Upcycling! I managed to divert most of the coffee away from the keyboard.
Actually, she is Mrs. Epic!
This man speaks volumes without saying a word.
The banjo music is annoying though lol
@@pavloszimbrakos4410nothing wrong with the banjo music. Maybe it’s just you.
Masterclass in fine detail woodcraft. Speechless
Beautiful piece of work. This is the sort of video I like. No music, no unnecessary chatting just the sound of the work shop and straight forward filming without Hollywood antics.
Thanks very much :)
It's so good to see a true craftsmen at work. Jason you must love your wife very much. This looks like a family heirloom in the making. And I've just subscribed.
How lucky is she who found a man that loves her so deeply, is inspired by his feelings, and translates them into tangible beauty, just for her.
Saturday evening and a new video from Epic UpCycling. Fantastic!

Your workshop is the most beautiful thing ive ever seen, and your work is wonderful aswell!
Thanks very much 🙂
His workshop is his work. I don't see anything wooden in there that he didn't create.
The level of planning and detail is amazing. The copper accents, the lovely blue velvet, detailed measurements and the Cookie Crisp cardboard liner 😂. Charming and well done!
that cookie crisp liner made me facepalm.. I hadn't even thought about that as a source of material for something of this nature.
Your wife is a very lucky lady. I would love to receive whatever you make. You are a very clever man. 😊😊
Thanks very much :)
I just love when someone makes sure that the screw notch is straight. 👌😁
Beautiful box. Thx for another great video.👍

So it wasn't enough to have me coveting your wife's sewing box, now I have to hanker after her jewel chest! Thanks a lot!

Words fail me yet again Jason. I know I've said it before but "Absolutely Stunning!!!" just doesn't describe your talent. Fantastic project.
Thanks very much, Gaz :)

Love that you also make sure the screws are all lined up properly...
Using those wood strips to straighten out the tubes was masterful! Talk about thinking inside the box.
Thank you. I have purchased as old silver chest for my granddaughter’s silver and I was wondering how to restore the cloth interior. Now I know!

Utterly gorgeous 😍 Lucky lady! Love the brass details.
Wow. Just wow. I’ll bet your wife was absolutely floored. I watched you make it, and I certainly was!

He's got the patience of a saint all that repetitiveness in his work would of blown my mind but still he's one of the best woodworker on UA-cam
Как всегда замечательно! Мой любимый блогер.
The attention to detail is yet again mind blowing. What a beautiful gift.
Absolutely gorgeous box craftsmanship. You just can't beat anymore
I'm at a loss for words! The word beautiful just doesn't describe it adequately!

WOW! No more words needed! Thx for sharing 👍
