In all fairness to Pierce Brosnan he kept the franchise alive and brought it into the 21st century with the smoothness only Bond could pull off ! A natural Bond was Pierce Brosnan. Coolness and charisma personified.
Same could be said of Daniel Craig. Both Craig and Brosnan had excellent debut Bond films that revived the franchise, but then they got progressively worse
Goldeneye. Greatest Bond movie, and the inspiration behind one of the most revolutionary video games in history. No other Bond comes close.

Mobius Gamer The N64 game cause nostalgia blow up in my head. I'm glad they're doing a reboot of it calling it GoldenEye 25. Coming out when it all began August 2022.
They should have had Pierce come back for the remake. The teaser for the 1995 film would be the perfect reveal for the Goldeneye video game remake. Bond shot in silhouette, shooting out the letters to numbers. And his reveal. "You where expecting someone else?"
Goldenye is a classic. Shame about the rest.

The first movie he saw in London was Goldfinger.

Thomas Crown Affair (1999) is a really underrated film. Rene Russo was amazing in that film and Brosnan was magnetic. One of the great remakes.

Pierce Brosnan is the Reason why I can watch a James Bond Movie. Never was a fan of these movies until he began playing this character.

I just finished AMC's The Son and I am blown away by his talents...honestly, I've never watched Bond when he lead in it...but the moment I saw this show...I was memorized by his character...I wanted to hate him, sympathize with him, laugh with him and cry at his ending...for an actor to enable such imersion like that...brilliant! And that accent...he killed it! I thought he was American!!! I'm a fan!

He used to disguise his natural Irish brogue a lot when he was younger. Especially in his Bond tenure (to varying degrees of success).
He's got no accent at all. Neither irish nor american. The word "movies" sounds like Schwarzenegger's terrible accent.
We need an "Old Logan" version of Bond. Let him finish his story as he is now.. The perfect timing after Daniel Craig's send-off.
I just an interview of him back in 1985 and now I'm looking at this and HOT DAMN. He's a gilf now for sure. Beautiful man!
Love this man, growing up in the same small town as a kid I used to all go to the cinema and watch him be bond, my parents used to say James bond was our neighbour.
He is one of those people that looks good in all time periods of his life. Very rare. Connery has that too coincidentally. Redford as well.

Man, I've only just been made aware that Pierce is Irish. After only ever hearing him talk in Die Another Day and two JB games, so many years ago, my mind is completely blown.

His some what reserved comment regarding a women playing Bond is certainly understandable. Bond can never be a women period. There, I said what he couldn't or wouldn't say. Why? Simple. James Bond is a character based upon a male character. Even crossing racial lines is ridiculous. This notion that Bond must now be a female or a black person is, in a word, asinine.
You see, the franchise of Bond is slowly and methodically being taken over in incremental stages. Even having a female as M was a very deep departure from the original concept of Bond. Though its clearly obvious in that case, Dame Judy Dench played M very well.
I think this whole omg we just have to make everything fair to every race or gender is stupid. People just need to cop a chill and accept that things were created for a reason and those reasons ought to stay intact and not be subjected to the whims of the minority.
As for Pierce Brosnan, I thought he was a first class Bond. Goldeneye was a true test for him and, in my opinion, he passed that test to join the ranks of those he succeeded. Though older, he still has it going.🔫

First rate actor with a fine body of work. The Foreigner with Jackie Chan released in 2017 was not only an excellent film but in my opinion PB's best performance yet.
