I'm writing this comment before I watch the video, thank you so much for releasing part III, I didn't think it would release until another year, this is such an amazing, yet underrated series and I thank you for making it.
I'm so glad Nexpo did a video on this series without it I would have never known it existed. Thank you for making awesome content! We need more of this on YT.
Most intriguing episode yet, the plot gained way more depth with this one, and the visuals are on point as always. Imagine what could be done with voice actors
For all the apocalyptic, religious imagery and aesthestic, I like how, at the core, this is a love story. And for how completely upfront this is with explaining its own plot and devices, so much is still completely shrouded in mystery and suspense. I cannot wait for the conclusion, and the future.
My working theory for this is that Martha has been alive a lot longer, but had died at one point. Marvpyas is telling her he called out her name and brought her back, which would most likely explain why he communicates with the flute. I theorized with my fiancé about the triangle with the nine circles being an opposite sigil to Marvpyas’ with the circle and nine triangles. If my assumption is correct, Mattheus is Marvpyas and came back after 100 years seeking Martha, wanting her to join him in the drowned city below the lake. The latin at the end “Dies Irae” is a hymn sung for the dead. Mattheus has a death date of 1897 and Martha does not have a death date.
Does not disappoint. These videos do an incredible job of setting a unique tone/atmosphere while also telling a truly interesting story. No jump scares or mascots required. If there’s ever a video game based on this story it’ll be one of my favorites.
I can't put thoughts to words easily so this does not begin to capture my true feelings on this series It is one of, if not the single most beautiful piece of horror I have ever seen
the way you build the tension, and the slow burn release is incredible. I can't wait to see where this series goes in the future, I will be here for every episode.
The presentation here is so surreal in such a unique way. It's really gripping, gives this entire story an otherworldly vibe. Absolutely excellent work!
This series absolutely raises the bar on what can be done with analog/video horror. The visual design in particular is stellar. As a graphics designer and multi-media artist, this is inspiring, and with the quality and confidence of presentation that I strive for in my own art. Spectacularly done!
Just want to say, my God, I am SO glad you continued this. Your editing, production, and visuals are insanely high quality, and this series is absolutely terrifying. Thank you so much for continuing to create, and be proud of what you've done, it's absolutely outstanding. ❤
AMAZING CONCLUSION!!!!! CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXPO VIDEO ON THIS AS WELL! HOPE TO SEE MORE FROM YOU THIS YEAR REDDIAMOND!! SO MUCH POTENTIAL HERE JN THIS SERIES AND WITH YOU. VERY UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL APPROACH
About to start the video, but I gotta say HELL YEAH to continuing this project. I'm glad Nexpo gave you the spotlight to have last month because Oakburn is a great refresher from newer projects that just don't hit the same. Keep it up!!
Incredible artistry! As soon as I realized I was hearing bits of the Ligeti Requiem it was straight chills, and I couldn’t think of a better modern use for that composition than to score something like this.
I absolutely love your aesthetic and writing style! You have a great sense of atmosphere and colour, and all the multimedia aspects are insanely cool. I hope you keep creating art, you have insane potential.
Watched this with a friend so I didnt make the preimere, BUT GOD WAS IT WORTH IT. We both just absolutely started digging into some of the stuff (idea wise) and its SO COOL
Bravo. One of the most atmospheric, intriguing and creative things I have seen in a while. Hats off to you and your wonderful talent on display. This is, by far, one of the most world class examples of how sound design alone, can make or break your art. I cannot compliment you enough on your abilty to create such an ominous yet ambient mood. Please, keep feeding us more.
This is one of my favourite analog horrors the amount of effort love and work that’s put into these videos SHOWS this also if red diamond could put the videos in canonical order in a playlist that would be awesome
This is an excellent piece of art, and I truly commend you for your writing skills. I can not insist this enough; write a book or short story. This medium, while excellent at building atmosphere, must be exhausting. Your talent for the written is unbelievably clear, and I would buy a short horror novella from you in a heartbeat. Excellent work.
950 views?! It’s sad people will watch react channels and not follow original creators. Regardless I am glad you have gained more traction here and I can’t wait for more. 🎉
Literally one of the most amazing and visually stunning videos I've ever seen. Absolutely in love with everything so far and can't wait to see what's in store for the future!
Hope this series continues, very interesting so far. Obviously came on Nexpo’s recommendation, but I didn’t actually watch his video yet. Came here first, was surprised to find such a recent upload.
They're born in the same year with sigils that have the same root, so twins? And is Matthaus' year of death the founding year for Oakburn? The opening texts from Martha seem to indicate she's repressed memories of her past, specifically the days of wrath or dies irae. Huh, going to have to write out a timeline aren't I?
What i got from it is that she was reborn in a new from and her brother or lover made a deal with some unholy entity and became cursed for her life, so im not sure if its so much of repressed memories as it is a suspicion of familiarity.
Nah, I get what he's saying. Sadly, if it weren't for Nexpo, I would never have known this existed. This creator deserves way more credit... this series is absolutely amazing.
@blackmonish OP literally said all thanks. While most likely not intentional, how is that anything but an indirect insult to the person that put actual effort into creating the video?
@@Wexcess i didn't meant to demean him , ofc he deserves every bit of credit. All i wanted to convey was that Nexpo really pushed my boy to make this happen.
I'm writing this comment before I watch the video, thank you so much for releasing part III, I didn't think it would release until another year, this is such an amazing, yet underrated series and I thank you for making it.
This is genuinely one of the most impressive horror series I've ever seen. The fact that its stayed obscure for so long is criminal.
I'm so glad Nexpo did a video on this series without it I would have never known it existed.
Thank you for making awesome content! We need more of this on YT.
Same I learned about it thru nexpo. Nexpo is the GOAT
Most intriguing episode yet, the plot gained way more depth with this one, and the visuals are on point as always.

They way Marvpyas rose from the water was so chilling. I was sure that there was going to be a jumpscare or something
For all the apocalyptic, religious imagery and aesthestic, I like how, at the core, this is a love story. And for how completely upfront this is with explaining its own plot and devices, so much is still completely shrouded in mystery and suspense. I cannot wait for the conclusion, and the future.
I love how this series gives me Alan Wake 1 or 2 vibes. This is such a good series.

This is absolutely incredible, I've watched many analogue horrors and this episode cemented this as the best made, easily
👏👏👏
this story deserves to be adapted into a film or tv show
I'm so glad you came back. You are an innovator in a genre gone stale. Seriously, thank you.
oakburn opus has become one of my most favorite analog horror series. absolute cinema, i can't wait to see more!
This is a work of art. This is a masterpiece. I have never seen a horror series like this, and this deserves a lot more attention.
Well that was amazing. A big congratulations to Red Diamond, this is the best media I've seen in a while.
Does not disappoint. These videos do an incredible job of setting a unique tone/atmosphere while also telling a truly interesting story. No jump scares or mascots required. If there’s ever a video game based on this story it’ll be one of my favorites.

Beautiful is definitely the first word I think, all 3 add together to be excruciatingly beautiful underneath the horror
the way you build the tension, and the slow burn release is incredible. I can't wait to see where this series goes in the future, I will be here for every episode.

I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed this one. This was just spectacular!

There are quite a few new styles in this episode and I do quite like them, makes the story more engaging. Really good! :)

Lovely video! Watching this, in my room, with all the lights off, with my studio monitor speakers blasting the amazing sound design.... was perfect!
Amazing! Wouldn't have found this if not for Nexpo, but I loved parts 1 and 2 and am enjoying the direction this is continuing in.
Incredible artistry! As soon as I realized I was hearing bits of the Ligeti Requiem it was straight chills, and I couldn’t think of a better modern use for that composition than to score something like this.

Creepcast should definitely check this out
just before the ending the screams were the distorted cheers from the recorded first melody of the flutist right ?
😮❤
FINALLY
Martha has started using a lot of $10 words. Good for Martha.
Analog horror turning point
The lines from the book would’ve made some sick King Crimson lyrics
