the lesson here is to always look left when you blast.
3-07-20? ... he can drum into the fucking FUTURE!
I like how you traveled to 2020 to record this for us.
:(
here we are
haha
Yeah I was like "lol he left this fucked up situation of a band years ago"
You can keep him then 😅
love how much his blasts have progressed since this, in this video he slows down a lot with the blast but now he is like a king
@2:34 - Strainer quick fix, proof of the full focus of this guy, respect...
man, I'm not even a drumer but I'm thinking: oh my god, this guy plays insanely fast and clean, without mentoning how creative his lines are! probably one of the best drummers around!
Stick height, progression, amazing fills and just very impressive to watch
this sounds even faster than the album. Hannes is a fricking god
That is the sickest rebound I've ever seen on a blast beat dude.
Drummers who can play fast with power and musicality are few and far between...
@MarsHolst20 It's not impossible of course. But it is very rare. If you are into metal drumming you would understand.
That fill at @1:35 !!! im dying :D
Awesome playing!
Man, Hannes is just so damn good! Sick video!
outstanding drumming...one hell of awesome drummer!
just awesome!!!!!
Wow seriously awesome
This is so BADASS.!!! 🤘👹🤘🔥🔥🔥
ahora ya no me sorprende tanto, sin lugar a duda la produccion ayuda muchisisisisimo!
@asadodemierda It's him moving his left foot to the hi hat pedal and moving back to the bass pedal while he moves his left foot to the hi hat he doubles the speed in the right foot to get the left and right pedal speed,OR he does the doubling of both feet with his right foot and the left is at the hi hat (it is not hard to do this speed with one foot you can do more) I hope that helped helped.
top of all drummers
Great
dang what china is he using? Sounds amazing!
esse é mestre
@Selfless Resurrection, i often do that too when playing blast beat, it's not about looking away, it's just a way for me to have my right ear pointing at my drumbass to hear clearly if i am 100% in time or not !
Guys a beast! \m/
very clean fills
wow ! fast , powerfull and.musical ! great ! Which China he has on the.right ? its awesome !
hats off to u bro u shred
It doesn't matter what you're looking at really, its mostly a feel kinda thing, so you don't use your eyes for much.
this song is so fucking great.........
insanely groovy, AAAAAND at the speed of light
@asadodemierda u mean @ 2:51 ? he for sure has his hi-hat pedal very close to the left bass drum pedal so he can hit both at the same time, see for instance one of romain goulon's video on youtube, he explains it AFAIR
Is that a Diablo Swing Orchestra I see on the back of Hannes' shirt?
4:00-4:25 is fuckign awesome
@asadodemierda
my guess is that since it's a fairly slow bass drum pattern, he just did it with one foot
he is good enough to play this with a single bass pedal.
thums up if you think that this guy is a fucking gifted person
he actually does this, huh?
unbelievable!!
Taking the Sean Reinert framework and template for how to play this kind of music in a real musicians way and running with it!
@Nubian565 thats cool, i thought it was like a double stroke or something like derek roddy on Serpent Rise
Men singon! 🤘
2:43. How does he do that? the doble bass stroke and the hi hat up and down. Someone explain me or send me a video showing how to do that
He must of gotten sick of Necrophagist's weird ass set up haha, im glad he uses the same snare head that i use though, REMO forever!!! & HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNES!
is that young tobi moreli?
@drumfanatic89 True story: no one good ever blasted while not looking to the left.
He blast beats that snare like it owes him overtones
i'm no drummer but does looking away during a blast beat help keep it at a steady control?
lmao, this is a late reply but I think it's just personal habit. Most drummers do uniquely weird things when playing
@@c0hink176I think it's just more comfortable because the right hand is the one that moves around the kit most of the time
@@damiangomez8540 My thought is that it helps him concentrate on keeping consistency because I do a similar thing but I look down instead of to the left
@@c0hink176 Exactly, i do it for the same reason and i just, idk it feels like something i just do by nature, but for example when i try looking to the right when playing it's uncomfortable for me maybe since i like my cymbals high and tilted
@asadodemierda he's splitting his foot over both pedals, and dividing up his 16th note bass notes for a high hat mute.
Muchos errores, se aprecian a simple vista. Gran Baterista de todos modos!
Please come back to Obscura their latest skin beater is miles away
you’re ignorant
@@frelopermanboy7426 that was five years ago my guy
@@tritex6350 ? yes? I know? The original commenter is referring to Sebastian Lanser, saying that Hannes is better than him when that’s not even close to true?
@@frelopermanboy7426 oh, I thought you meant David
caralho
Drumming overlord!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jaajjajajaja
got 3 legs simple!
lol @ some people trying to headbang to this track. looks like they have epilepsy
Is it going too far to say that Hannes is the Buddy Holly & Neil Peart of death metal drumming?
LOL. No. Sebastian Lanser is. By far
Clickbait 2020
wow this audience is sloppy
Lame crowd, epic drummer.
I would be in awe and satring at the performance with a keen eye
wow very bad compare to what Sebastian do on this track. And now David will certainly own too. Diepold is one of the best out there. Sebastain either.
Wtf are you talking about? Hannes composed this tune. Those guys play his parts and none of them blast as powerful as Hannes does.
@@Lu-ql so wait, bc they don’t blast as powerful as Hannes, that means Hannes plays (HIS OWN SONG LOL) better? Hannes consistently went out of time in this video. Sebastian is by far the best drummer that Obscura has ever had. If you don’t realize that, then you genuinely just have no idea what you’re talking about.
