Those Pedals are Schossleitner wich are handcrafted in Austria ....where he is from . I had the opportunity to play them when i was at a workshop in Salzburg and i can say for sure that these are the best pedals ever. (But cost over 3k€)

@@justinkroboth360 I mean they have to be endure abuse for decades, the material cost can be high since it has to be light and rigid at the same time. Rnd for a small company is gonna cost a good chunk, machining costs etc. I could definitely see stuff like that get expensive real quick.
Sebastian Lanser is my favorite metal drummer. He has such a satisfying style. Tasteful, not overdone, but very advanced and technical.
If you're still wondering about the pedals, they're a custom job from a company called Schossleitner. The model is a P-16. Marthyn Jovanovich uses them too.

Obscuras tone and songs sound like the impossible MIDIs your singer made on his MacBook, but good.
I hadn't heard Obscura until one of my all time favourite drummers joined earlier this year. David Diepold is now the drummer for Obscura. Sebastian looks amazing just from watching this though
David Diepold's playing is so enjoyable to watch. I was really happy for him when I heard he joined Obscura.
Vortex Omnivium is one of their best songs and one of my favorite tech death songs of all time. Every instrument is blazing their own path in so many directions, but yet all working together like a perfectly woven tapestry of harmony, dissonance, fury, and soul

Actually.. Sebastian is Ex - Obscura meanwhile. I don´t know when you reacted to that video on stream but he left Obscura this sommer. And WTF dude you should listen to Obscura A LOT more. Especially if you like Sebastian Lanser. He plays drums on Diluvium and Akroasis. Before him Hannes Grossmann played drums for Obscura. You might enjoy their music. Drums are always top notch.
Akroasis was/ is such an INSANE album. I remember watching Sebastian's "Ten Sepiroth" cover for the first time and having my jaw on the floor. "Weltseele" is a song I feel deserves waaaay more attention than it gets. It's totally worth the 15 min listen!
@@MattJFilms I agree with you. I saw them live in February 2019 and Sebastian nailed every Riff, Fill whatever. He is an absolute machine in regards of precision and volume it´s insane. So much fun watching him play. Also other projects he plays in get a super buff just because he plays drums. I am actually a bit sad he left Obscura but I am also looking forward what Sebastian, Rob and Julius will do in their new project.
Akroasis is a very fucking good album. I prefer Omnivium by a small amount, though. All of their albums are masterpieces, and Retribution is literally Death's Human 2.0.
@@lashedandscorned Diluvium is probably favourite album atm but all of their stuff is freaking good. Akroasis is such a difference to Omnivium - a good difference. Sound an songwriting got upped at certain Levels. They also managed to do the same with Diluvium. Their songwriting gained so much more depth and diversity. Tracks like Clandestine Stars are Killer but it could have been on Omnivium as well.

Chris turner, the drummer for Oceans Ate Alaska, is my favorite drummer in metalcore/ deathcore. You reacted to him a year or so back. Should definitley check him out again. He is a truly underrated drummer.

his drums are tama star walnut. they are tama top of the line made in japan. you can also have maple or bubinga tama star drums. but the most thunderous, most suited for rock and metal are the tama star walnut.

I'm not a drummer, but I wonder if there's a risk of eventual back problems (hopefully not injuries) if you play while slouching.
It has even ended some drummers careers sadly
Sebastian has a great blasting technique with his fingers without any arm movement I wish I could blast like that but it's very unnatural when I try it, I'm too used to what Derek Roddy taught me as a drummer. I looked up to him in my early days and now I still do I love his techniques! I still have alot to learn from him!

I like that they took the name from the Gorguts album . We have some fucking great metal bands here in québec. Used to work with Flo from Cryptopsy and friend with Sylvain original Kataklysm singer and Guys from Despised Icons etc small but fierce metal scene lol Many more storys involving Cradle,Nightwish,suffocation etc but those are secrets 😁🙃(same as who i am) he he he
