Was it only Boeing that had quality issues with Spirit products i.e. it's their own specs that were the trouble, or have Spirit-Airbus quality problems been minor so received less publicity?
Boeing makes up around 65% of Spirit Aerosystems business. Airbus just around 20%. Thus even if both would have had the same issues, it at least would be three times worse for Boeing. However, Airbus had very different contracts with Spirit Aerosystems than Boeing. From what I heard Airbus workers too took offense at the quality of some parts delivered by Spirit Aerosystems. But it seems that was within the realm of the "usual" issues expected. Whatever that's supposed to mean. Unlike Boeing who not only had to send over inspectors, but workers too. And even Spirit Aerosystems having to send over workers to Boeing in order to fix parts. It seems this never happened with Airbus and Spirit Aerosystems.
Now that the deal is really real, Boeing must first ensure that the quality is right again. It's not just Spirit that has poor quality. So the problems are far from being solved.
Necessity may dictate that both Boeing and Airbus split this buyout. They need the fuselages it makes for their planes. But it'll take years to correct the demoralization that Boeing's abusive and tight-fisted treatment of Spirit Aerosystems has created and without that Spirit's quality control will continue to mediocre.
Boooooo if that happens, I'm never flying on planes any more because there dangerouse due to quality control, its much safer to drive and take trains and ship to place.
Fighting? They're literally cooperating. Did you watch the video? China has no opportunity to grab, and nothing to offer. The C919 isn't even certified to fly outside of China in 2024! They have some forced domestic orders, but nobody else. The C919 is by no means Chinese only, they also have Western parts.
Then Boeing will dig its own grave. Well, with the current state of affairs I stick to my last prediction of Boeing being around for another decade or two. So far nothing substantial has changed.
Good news for both parties 👍
Good news for all three parties!
This will solve none of the underlying issues that led to the problems.
Oohh it's happening
Finally it's happening!
It's about time, yeah.
Does anyone know if Spirit supplies parts for the Embraer's aircrafts?
Finally!
Since Spirit builds parts for Boeing and Airbus why there are no issues on Airbus fuselages?
The window panel that blew out is fitted by spirit but removed again by boeing to final fit interior 😉

... or Airbus let Spirit enough time to manufacture properly the parts and then checked more thoroughly Spirit's work?
@@florencioigual Those are excellent points.

Too put it simply...the issues in the Boeing/Spirit relationship, are not with Spirit...
@@jantjarks7946the plane was 20 years old
Based on the thumbnail, I thought Airbus was going to acquire Boeing... 🤣
Even if the thumbnail said 'Boeing purchases Airbus', that wouldn't cross my mind. 😂
That Could never happen!
Boeing isn't going down at all. They're too Global and immense.
Will Spirit cease to exist after these are done, or will they become subsidiaries?
Spirit was once part of Boeing before they spilt it off
This is like the only time airbus and Boeing work together
I love Simple Flying! I can always rely on facts! ❤
They will need to transfer the A350 component supply contract to someone
finally they're getting rid of one of the problems

What? OMG ITS HAPPENING
This is good

Had to happen
✈️
Now Airbus doors will start falling off
Why????
BEST Comment so far, Thank You
Spirit is been blamed for the FAILED Boeing Directors

While two are fighting
China grabs the opportunity

China has like 500 airbus/boeing jets in their skies at all times 😅 that is not changing any time soon
Not even close.
They are not fighting at all. Considering the speed of the agreements, Airbus clearly wants to help Boeing out.
Well, boeing and airbus followed each other on twitter...
Quality will drop if Boeing takes over.....
Then Boeing will dig its own grave.
