I mean, I know alotta people are taking this as a funny thing, but I'm almost certain that alotta the rappers that have been through it, prolly struggle with mental repercussions. PTSD, depression, anxiety, etc. I don't think these men, kids, and women from the hood get the mental help they need sometimes. That's not a black or white thing, I don't care what color you are, when you see shit like people being murdered, or you get shot, that shit can get to you. I'm from just outside of Memphis, Tennessee. People get murdered every single day in places like Orange Mound. These poor people living with these mental consequences can't even speak up, they just gotta live with the pain & cover it up for the sake of being hard. All the while being eaten alive from the inside out. I think that's a very underrated thing, I can't speak for the black community, and I won't try, because I am not apart of it. I just know that in my area, a primarily black area that struggles with alotta poverty & crime, as a result of that poverty, these people ain't getting the help they need.
