Problem is not with the fact that the doors can be unlocked individually. It is that the unlock mechanism is made so easy and integrated in the door handle. There should be at least 2 buttons - one to unlock and one to open the door. Then it will not be that easy to accidentally open the door.
What's the use of a 5 star rated car when a kid can open the door at highway speeds. You cannot use child locks on all doors, else you would need a helper to open doors from outside. This is a severe design flaw.

It's not safe for children because doors can be opened easily just by pulling the nob while running. It's major draw back for altroz

Aapne sahi bola hai... lekin govt ne ek aur cheej bolta hai ki bechonko back seat par nhi bitana hai... they must be occuppied with a child seat. According to their age limit.. bechcha bada hojata hai to unka dimag bhi bada hota hai... then they will conscious abut that.. ki door chalti gaadi me nhi kholna hai...

Same issue was there in ford aspire and my 1 year old kid opened it while sitting in back...luckily nothing happened...but i decided not to take further risks and sold that car and now bought maruti ritz

If child lock is an option then there should be dedicated button ( child lock on /off) on driver side for convience.
God forbid , in case of accident , the feature" auto door unlock on impact " should also disable the child lock.

Yes But Similar TATA models are not launched with this feature Lets take an ex of TATA Nexon it has an thumb knob auto lock it is also got the 5 star rating. if it govt regulations why nexon came with knob locking as centerlock

Bro please do some research on this. This is a latest spec safety norms. Altroz has impact sensing door lock. That's why there is no dedicated single central lock. Many higher end cars come with this type of safety norms. This is not cost cutting. Altroz is way way ahead of its competitors in terms of safety. Talking about child there are child lock to use.

Actually this system is a lot safer.
If you're an adult, you're obviously not going to make the mistake of unlocking the door in a moving car. If you're a child, the child lock can be enabled to prevent them from using it while on the move.
The reason why this method of central locking is made to unlock in the event of a crash is so that people from outside can open the door and help you get out as you may not be able to do so yourself. You'll still be able to get out since all the doors unlock anyway.
The only tricky situation comes when child lock is enabled in the rear doors in case of accidents. In such cases, an adult has to open the door from outside. This situation is still a lot safer compared to the other central locking systems where it has to manually unlocked in case of accident. Very very unsafe.
The fear that some people may accidentally open the door while on the move is unfounded. It's obvious you're not allowed to unlock the doors while on the move.

No , this is a flaw and a deal breaker drawback of altroz , any kid can easily open the door at highspeed , it doesn't have a separate button to lock and unlock which is cost cutting , they should have provided dedicated lock buttons like other cars along with impact sensing door unlock to accommodate that feature

People who are concern of their children ... let me tell you please start using child lock which is small switch in door and it helps to secure door and can only be opened from outside ... second thing you are buying safe car please use car seat where kids are secured and you do not have to worry about kids freely moving in back seats and playing around with stuffs ...
