hey everyone! there seems to be a bit of confusion on why there's a price associated with the pattern. Like it says in the product description "This is my first pattern and I’ve put it out for free but if you’d like to support me just name your price.". This means that you can change the price to zero if you'd like to get it for free! Thank you for getting the pattern wether you choose to support me or get it for free! Love seeing your versions of it so keep tagging me!!
Finished mine yesterday! I'm a relative beginner with a half dozen projects under my belt and everything made sense. In case anyone is worried about the serger part - I don't have one and just finished all my edges with a tight zigzag stitch and it worked just fine. It came together in two afternoons and I love it! Thanks for sharing your design with us.
I made this as my first serious sewing project and it turned out great! During the process I thought I might had to lower the darts and maybe make the armholes a bit bigger, since I usually have a size small bit I am kinda tall for a small (173 cm). But I decided to stick to the pattern and it all turned out fine. Maybe I will make it a bit longer next time, but that's just me not being used to wearing things this cropped. Thank you for making this for free. I don't have that much to spend, so I just payed a little :)
Just a heads up for giraffes like me (1m80), the overall length of the piece and placement of the darts definitely need to be adapted if you're 1m75 and over :-) For my length I would've placed the darts about 3cm lower and would add about 6-7cm to the bottom to allow enough space for the waist ties. Other than that , a super fun & straight-forward project :-) great video
Thank you so much Ilse, I'm also 1.8m (5'11") and this is super helpful as a beginner. Can I ask which size you made? Having trouble figuring out which one to cut out!
@@tidal-sun seeing your question now - I went with my own size which was fine with the adjustments above - but you can def alter more to your needs, the pattern is forgiving :-) check YT for dart / full pattern adaptation videos! You could try making a toile before cutting into your precious fabrics to see what's good for you. And it's amazing that Nicole has kindly made her patterns free to access, so you can always switch to a different size! Good luck!
i just finished sewing this top for myself with a blue gingham pattern and it came out amazing:) i highly recommend this! the smallest size fit snug on me a waist 65cm, shoulders 45cm
I don't understand how this wonderfull video goes unnoticed. It's truly a masterpiece 🙌. Editing, style and everyting, there is a lot to learn from you😍
Thank you for the tutorial! This was my first sewing project and I am very surprised and pleased with the result! I liked it so much that I sewed the top twice with different fabrics. Thanks to the video it was really easy to make. I only had to enlarge the hole for the arms a bit. Thanks again! I'm looking forward to more tutorials!:)
Thank you SO MUCH for this pattern and tutorial! This was my first sewing project and it came out great! I will be making it again asap with a few small tweaks- I need to add some length and give it a bit more coverage for my chest. It was so much to make and can’t wait to do it again! 😀😀
Thank you so much for the pattern and tutorial! 🥰 I made this in a medium and it’s so cute but it’s way too small for me across the bust as I have quite small shoulders and rib cage area, but my bust is probably a large. I’m new to sewing and don’t know how to adjust the sizing to make another that fits. Does anyone have any advice please? 🧡
Thank you for sharing the pattern and tutorial! I've been wanting to make this since I saw it on Instagram! Even though winter is fast approaching here I definitely want to make this 😅 I'm going to see if I can make mods for warmer fabric (and longer sleeves) so that it can be a transitional piece.

Después de eso te dirá que tu orden ha sido recibida. Un poco más abajo le das click al recuadro que dice "patrón con lazo en la parte delantera Elliot" y descarga el patrón ❤️
Hi, I wanted to ask if beginners could follow this pattern? I'm very new to sewing and have just gotten decently comfortable with my sewing machine, have only tried a few very small projects so far. Would I be able to make this? Anyway, came across your channel through @vintagethirsty and really like your designs, much love from L'Inde!
I made this as a beginner (first time sewing an article of clothing from start to finish). I took my time and watched the tutorial many times to make sure I was doing it right! I finished it today and it came out great! You can definitely do it!!!
If you used fabric with scalloped edges on the sleeves do you think you could add a channel for the elastic to the sleeves as you did for the ties? 🤔 it looks like a great pattern!
@@CoolStitches Oh okey haha! Btw, just purchased the Eva pattern and the Elliot pattern. I am so exited to sit down the entire weekend and sew, you are so talented!
Hi! I absolutely love this pattern - thank you so much for making it available! I'm a little stuck on the step where you gather the sleeves - there are two lines of stiches shown. Do you gather twice? or is the second line for when you attach it to the bodice? Thanks so much :)
Hey there! Usually gathering is done with two lines of stitches but you can do it with only one. It depends on the weight of your fabric. With two pins of stitches your thread is less likely to break when you pull it 🤗
