- After some time in the making here it is. The why, the how and the results of the muller chokes vs Carlsons. The debate of the UFO with boss ammo. Mixed results. #panchothings #shotgun #pattern #hunting #benelli #boss #pancho_things #fyi #fye

Could you do this with steel bb for Goose?
Yeah, I have some kents BB fast steel. Let me organize to film that
@@Panchothings thanks man I’ve tried so many chokes and that 2 I haven’t tried yet. It’s to expensive to keep buying them lol. Just trying to get my best combo out for goose
I’m developing some steel loads to use with my Muller chokes right now. I bought all 3 chokes from Muller to test them all out at different distances. Hoping to find a good hand load that will get a great pattern at 40 yards, that the max distance I shoot.
@@vaughnprecision try kent 4 shot 1350 velocity 1 3/8 payload i shot that exact load at 40 yards with my mullers and it was beautiful! I also tried kent 2 1300 and it pattern pretty damn good at 40 for it being a bigger load . I heard nitro steel slow 1250 velocities were MONEY 💰
@vaughnprecision the best steel load i found for my weatherby 18i with the passing choke is Fiocchi Golden Waterfowl 4shot 3in 11/4 oz at 1350 up to 35 yards. I say 35 because I don't take shots with steel past that. I want my birds stoned lol
Try Carlson's improved modified trap choke
I’ll have to check it out
Optimum choke performance is related to pellet size and hardness.
That’s correct. The beautiful thing about these chokes is that they can run pretty much anything. Now I did found in previous videos more inconsistencies with steel vs bismuth. Logically the weight. Size relation on bismuth is something I’ll have to check on. So far I have used stacked 3” # 3/5. I would have to see what happens with maybe all #3. Being heavier that steel the shot size need it decrease vs steel.
I use to do steel #2 and the thing that made me do the change was the cripples. Since the change I have seen improvement on that area due to the better penetration and some what better pattern density. I’ll have to play with other sizes and perhaps other metals and see what happens
Every shell an choke combo is going to pattern diff, you have to find wat chokes pattern better wit wat shells !! Mid range likes the shells you were shooting the long range didn’t like them shells so much !
Indeed. Soon here I will try a non stacked shell and see what happens.
You should not overchole bismuth. Improved modified at max. ...ive shot and tested alot
Thanks for the tip
What velocity did u use ?
I can show u a steel pattern on my ufo that looks really good!
Yeah let’s see 💪🏼
Boss 3” 3/5 flys at 1350 I believe
@@Panchothings where can i email u or do u have a instagram i can send it to?
@@Panchothings i sent you a dm on instagram with pic of pattern
Dude your point of impact is off
Hello there. What makes you think that? It doesn’t feel that way but I could have an issue there that I haven’t notice
@Panchothings assuming that you aimed dead center. It appears that your gun shoots high. Obviously the results of pellet count differ, however the vast majority of the pellets were high. Not sure what gun you are using. If it has anything to do with Benelli or Franchi it is a known issue of those guns with the POI being high.
@@dondebrunner5595 ahhhh ok. Yeah indeed the benelli have a tendency to shoot high. No in previous videos I adjusted the dumb to have a 60/40 pattern where 60% of the shot should be higher and 40%lower. I did adjust the comb. Now sbe3 are seeing to shoot floating the birds and for me particularly is easier to do with a moving target vs a stationary. So yes you will always see on my shots more pellets on the top vs bottom but not all shot load on either extremity and or a 50/50. I got scare for a sec there. Thank you for watching
@Panchothings dude I got rid of my Franchi because of that. I couldn't wrap my head around "floating" the shot lol
@@dondebrunner5595 it’s an interesting, for what I hear it is simple for clay shooters. That’s being said I got used to it. Funny, I did hunt once with a browning and took me a sec to get use to the pointing of it. First few bird I didn’t even get close 🤣🤣🤣. Definitely easier hahahah. Just getting used to it and liking preferences.
Besides that how was the franchi?
