Nice job with lots of tips. I did the same door bars last year - made an amazing difference to the chassis flex coupled with a roll bar. They are a really nice install using the existing 2 x 6mm bolt holes in the footwell. I didn't want to put the chassis rails in (not keen in drilling loads of holes through the underside of the car!) and the door bars seem to be the best upgrade. You're going to love them! I can now feel my coil overs doing their job. It's a shame that there's no instructions that mention the existing hole with the grommet. It took me as long to cut the plastic trims as it did to put in the bars! My OEM door cards fitted OK though.
if you contact gc fabrications the will make sure you get the correct roll cage. from previous conversations with cg they informed me that there is two different roll bar and door bar set ups that work together
Mostly snap-on tools. ill be honest the snap on 3/8 90 battery ratchet has not got alot of torque but the 3/8 and 1/2 rattle are amazing, obviously they are pricey though. what make did you go for?
My biggest worry with these and the reason I havent bought them yet is ankle comfort! I tend to roll leg to the right when driving normally for comfort. Do they impeded ankle space near the throttle pedal!
They do slightly and this is one thing im concerned about. i havnt got my seats in yet so its untested but follow me on instagram and ill pop som detailed pictures up when i get a chance
I really have to stop watching these during my NA build. Budget demolished months ago! 😂
🤣😂treat yourself

I think because mine is a mk2 the door cards are not flat so foul the bar. im gonna guess you have them in a mk1?
@@Project380 Yep, 1991 1.6 Turbo ¦:¬D
"Thank you helper" 🤣
That shall be her new nickname
They look real tidy! Great work dude!
Thank you mate
How do they fit with the sparcos? What rail do you have?
they fit quite well, close but no interference. im using the Skidnation fixed rails
Dude cool video, love the remark about BMWs drifting into the door 😆👍 by the way can't see any issues driving with the thick wheel spacers 👍
Back in the day of street drifting my mate hit me with his BMW thats why my front arch is caved in and just a little scratch on the door.
Another excellent video, got those bars on my list of items to purchase for our mk1.
As long as you dont mind a bit of cutting. I cant wait to see how they perform
Will i still be able to have a GC rollbar if I also install these?

What electric tool was you using.? bought one and it has no torque so I’m looking for a better one!
