Aggrend forgot SoD is for us casuals, not Retail 0.1% world first race. When you have to nerf any boss by 54% you know you don't play the game, or test the game.
the people trying to complete it are in level 40 gear with no consumes no composition and nothing just dry lvl 40 gear the nerf is a joke

Meanwhile incursion is 40-50 in 3.5 hours.. bliz needs to work on “do I need a hammer or a scalpel here”

Honestly don't see the issue with that. First of all most of these hours thrown about is from sweat min maxed cases and secondly their stated goal since day one was to make it easy to run alts so there has to be a fairly fast way to level. Why anyone would slave away in zf or any other dungeon and call that fun to get the same goal just in 5x the time is honestly beyond me. @@BlackRose3610

Blizzard doesn't know how to balance things so obviously mage will always be #1 and hunter a good #2. Got any type of AoE needed to be done at all in any raid setting? Good luck trying to kill it fast enough to cheese mechanics without mage doing massive dmg or a hunter being able to AoE slow all the adds. They gave balance druids a piss poor addition to Hurricane only to have it still be complete and utter garbage to cast still and they gave Void Zone to priest even though it runs the same rune slot as making DoTs have crit chance which apply to Mind Sear as well and would be essential for VZ to actually deal any damage. I don't even wanna comment how dirty they did warriors and rogues in SoD because its apparent enough when the world first clears have none of them present.
They took the classes that leveled the fastest it has nothing to do with the balancing. Mages were always king and it's ok.
@@theashenverdict1629 You are wrong. Mindsear has always been able to crit without the despair rune. Spriests are THE best AoE class in the game if a fight is longer than 20 seconds due to sustain and 2nd best aoe class in the game if less than 20 seconds. Crazy how your comment frames Spriest aoe as weak "vz to actually deal any damage" while I'm doing 4k dps on a pull of 12 mobs in lvl 40 gear at 50. Makes me wonder what else you were wrong about in your comment.

Very good video Sarthe, but this already seems too hard for casual or pubs groups. More like it seems like the Wotlk and how it was the last 2 Raids - Ulduar and ICC. My guild already disbanded in P2 and now we have even harder raid for P3 which means that either i should create fresh guild or find another which i will be on the bench. I see streamers and hardcore players are happy about the raid, but this will hurt the overall population of the servers. I can say that even at the end of P2 in my server with pubs group sometimes we did 5/6 and what about Sunken Temple? I see the dificulty increase a bad thing for the most players and pubs will be even dead at 60, if this continues. Is that what we really want some hardcore guilds to be happy instead of playerbase overall ?

I have multiple clears 6/6 just stating the facts. I can even give you hero names. Is not about the raid being hard rather that you cannot do 1 clear for 1-2 hours. Not everybody has whole day to play. If you are teenagers or streamers is fine, but most of the player base is 30+

If (and atm, it's not if even after the nerf) pugs can't clear it, and the average classic boomers guilds also can't clear it, p3 will bleed players even faster than p2.

Which is fine by me. But I would have configured the raid to require minimum 100+ pulls for the tryhards. Let them lose all their sleep and subtract years off their life for world first. Then yup nerf it to the ground for everyone else.

They’re probably all running frostfire bolt (fire/frost hybrid) because it’s way more mana efficient than fire is.

Raids are supposed to be easy so you can just clear it and get the awesome loot. That is fun. So I really hope these Raids aren't going to be like this just will kill Raiding or any desire to even attempt them. People will just quit this phase when they realise they can't get geared.
Or they can just clear 6/8(which is easy compare to the last two bosses), collect all that gear, come back next week, do it again and the last two bosses will be a pushover. That's not a problem.
There’s a lot of uneducated comments here so a few things:
1. Grats to NOTA.
2. The comp I’m pretty sure is based off of classes that they could get to 50 fastest because this is a RACE. MORE THAN LIKELY you’re gonna see a normal comp from these groups later in the phase.
3. A lot of y’all are saying “so dumb/typical classic andies nerfing this so early”…. Y’all, this is like only a 10-12 week phase like the others have been, and lockouts are WEEKLY now. If people have to spend 4/12 lockouts not clearing it, you only leave them 8 left. There are too many casual players in SoD for raids to be this hard with the limited amount of time people have. If this wasn’t a seasonal server, and phases were 4-5 months, you’d have a better argument

You make some great points. Some counterpoints might be that with the right raid composition (as you mentioned, they brought what could get to 50 fastest, not necessarily an ideal or even good comp), you just might be able to handle some mechanics way better. Interrupts seemed important and sorely lacking here.
Just thinking out loud. 4m hp does seem like a lot. At the same time, the fact that a raid filled with all mages and hunters didn't have an easy time and therefore HP was dropped does seem slightly knee jerk. I don't really mind because in our group we likely won't even have 20 raiders until the second lockout 😂 but that doesn't really change the reality of things.
Also, don't see why this phase has to be just 10-12 weeks. At 60 we open up four existing raids alongside whatever new stuff they have planned. Maybe they break 60 into multiple phases too, who knows?
Having said all that, I'd love to see gnomes mechanics reduced to make that much more trivial and give people reason to go there for xp and gear. Incursions seem to be the new meta, which is fine, but people don't want to do gnomer anywhere close to the amount they were doing bfd at this point ins season 2. Just make it face roll content like they've done with incursions to make it a viable and easy level up experience.
It still doesn't excuse the barebone basics that everyone is expected to do, for any raid:
- appropriate gear(ideally pre-raid BiS) and level appropriate enchants. Not enchants from 10 levels ago.
- Best possible consumables that are available for you to use right now. That means the highest level mana pots, the rage potions, the elixirs etc etc. All things which require everyone to level their professions to max and collect the recipes needed for them. I saw some early ST raids using the same mana pots they used in gnomer, which is not fine.
- Runes. do we know 100% that everyone has their latest runes equipped? The earliest ST raids did not.
These are all things that all of us look at, anytime a raid complains they couldn't full clear something. Did you do your homework, are you enchanted, were you using consumes, did you complete the required faction rep grinds prior to the raid. None of these questions should be different for ST.

So im looking at their gear for their fight. So looks like most of their gear still SoD P2 Gear? I get they are amazing players but shouldnt we wait a week or 2 for ppl to prog gear before nerfing?
You'd think so. But everyone cried about how hard it was because it wasn't cleared within an hour of zoning in and hurt their ego. They keep choosing to not play the game as intended and crying when things don't go their way.
That is nuts. Maybe bosses needed a slight nerf but people didnt even try lol. Like just going through the log Im 90% sure my shaman is higher gear then them and he still lvl 40. so my shammy not yet touched in p3 has a ilvl of 42 most these guys sit around 44-45 with ST raid gear.... Maybe have player progress their gear a bit prior to nerfs. Races dont have to be won in a day maybe they might actually grind out gear proportionate to the content before trying to speed clear.

@@brandonmccloskey9803 they literally skipped everything in between 40-50 in ZF. Got very minimal upgrades.. class stacked and basically no runes as a majority of them now are still undiscovered. Zoned in and hit a brick wall on boss 6 and cried for nerfs. What an atrocious and disgusting way to play. They were desperate to say "I did it first look at me" and not "I did it the right way".
There aren't any big upgrades from ZF. If you're bis from gnomer that's all pretty much prebis for ST. The dungeon gear is ass bro. These are people that play this game sweaty as fuck. You aren't gonna clear this with a bunch of casuals/PUGs.
