- Wizzair Trip Report from London to Bratislava onboard one of the newest Wizzair's Airbus A321 CEO on a nice autumn day.
A very comfortable flight onboard the Wizzair A321 from London-Luton airport to Bratislava in Slovakia. This A321 was one of the last ones that Wizzair received before starting with the A321 NEO.
The approach to Bratislava was, probably, the one with more rain that I've seen in my life. It was just extreme the amount of water that was going over the windows. Beautiful to see!

That Wizzair movement maybe will lower a little bit the price of the flights towards the UAE.
I don't "clamp" the phone to the window in any way. All my videos are recorded "manually", holding the phone with my hands. The phone that I use, for now, is the Galaxy S9+.
Ahh , I hope we can fly soon when it’s safe. Last year we decided that we were going to limit our holidays and save up for this year (2020). We with two trips cancelled and possible two more in the summer , I haven’t been on a aircraft in over a year 😬. Craving a holiday.
I know I’m very fortunate to have been able to fly. Hoping everyone is staying safe . 👍👌👌

Buen vídeo, por fin lo he podido ver que con lo liado que estaba con el trabajo no me deja mucho tiempo libre, quizás lo que más me ha gustado ha sido la aproximación a Bratislava y las vistas de Viena y sin duda el chaparrón que atravesaste en esas nubes fue impresionante y luego debajo de ellas nada de lluvia ese claro despejado y limpio con una buena visibilidad, también me gusta el avión y los colores de esa compañía wizzair estan muy bien. It's recorded in 4K30fps. I could record it in 60 fps but my editing software together with my already old computer can't support such huge files.
Hopefully, in the near future, I will be able to update my computer and videos will look much better...

Volé con ellos dos veces, Dortmund-Budapest(A320) y Budapest-Madrid(A321NEO), la verdad es que prefiero volar con Ryanair o EasyJet antes que con WizzAir, para mi gusto es una aerolínea demasiado insulsa. Como siempre gran video Lucas, vaya aproximación más chula con esa tromba de agua!!

La verdad es que mis experiencias con ellos han sido bastante buenas en líneas generales. Si bien, es cierto que vuelo mucho con ellos para tener más variedad en el canal, y sobre todo para poder meter vídeo de un A321NEO de manera económica jaja
Tengo ya una buena cantidad de vuelos cogidos para Julio. Si todo va bien, volverá una buena variedad al canal muy pronto :)

Hola Lucas , yo he volado el año pasado con wizz air de Madrid a Bucarest, y de Bucarest a Madrid , y me ha encantado. Mi familia lleva años volando con wizz air y tambien han estado encantados con todos los vuelos que han hecho con ellos. Has volado alguna vez con Tarom? La verdad es que he estado bastante cerca de coger un vuelo con TAROM recientemente, pero el tema del COVID me ha echado para atrás el tema de no estar por ahora en el Espacio Schengen me he echado para atrás y lo he pospuesto al menos 1 mes más. Pero desde luego que mi intención es probar TAROM desde hace tiempo.También a Blue Air le tengo muchas ganas!

Well, maybe in the UK it's not yet well known. I would say in Eastern Europe it has a great image. In Western Europe is getting better every year :)

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience In February 2021, can’t wait! Hopefully the aircraft remains as an A321. Also, Luton have just changed their runway numbers from 26/08, now 25/07. Check the video about it on Luton Airports UA-cam channel :)

I didn't know Wizz UK flew there! They have so many more destinations with their UK subsidiary (which I never have flown on). Wizz crew are generally very open and friendly :)

Worth the waiting, like that flying through those thick clouds and heavy rain :) btw have you heard about the new fare rules in Austria? Austrian government is trying to avoid ticket dumping and they won’t allow airlines to sell tickets below 40€ as they want to protect their national carrier and reduce air pollution as well. Definitely not good news for LCC’s so I’m curious what’s Ryanair’s and Wizz Air’s response gonna be like 🤔 and Ryanair (Lauda) is not doing as great as they expected to in VIE rn, let’s be honest 😀 could be a potential chance for BTS to have new routes moved from VIE 😁

Yep, I've heard that about Austria. I think they are just crazy. Probably low-cost airlines will take it to European courts and it won't apply or it will lat for a short time. Anyway, it could be an amazing moment for Bratislava. I agree 100% with you. Moreover, I've read that BUZZ (Ryanair subsidiary) would be starting to operate in Bratislava soon... that could help even more to have a bigger base in Bratislava... Let's see, but I think it's not a clever move for the people of Austria...
OnBoardHD - Flight Experience really? Where did you read that? 😲 that would be great for BTS! I’ve actually read that Wizz Air was considering having a base in BTS, however they have changed their mind as they’re having massive success in VIE :)
@@swangi1230 Yep, I've read something like that also a few years ago... Wizzair has succeeded in Vienna. The battle was terrible: Eurowings, LEVEL, LAUDA, Easyjet and Wizzair. Pfff they could not live together in Vienna. Not at least at the size they all had before COVID.
I don't remember where I've read that BUZZ thing, but it could be the way to have those 2 based planes during all the year... :)

To be honest, that route, for now, is quite complicated. Not only because there is just one operator on the route so the prices are high, but mainly because of the COVID pandemic... let's see next year how everything is looking... I'm afraid this year I will be able to record fewer videos than I would like to do... =/

De nuevo en Bratislava! Felicidades por el report. Siempre manteniendo fijo el horizonte en las inclinaciones, incluso con nubes. Yo trabajé en Nissan y alguna vez fui al Centro Técnico en Cranfield (cerca del circuito de Silverston) con Easyjet y el aerop. más cercano es Luton. Aquel insecto estaba por dentro o por fuera de la ventanilla? 🙂🙂 Espectacular el cruce con el otro tráfico y la fuerte lluvia al final. Aproximando la imagen a los bordes de ataque del motor parece un túnel de viento. El agua desplazándose en la pista por ruedas y motores y al final el sol! En estas situaciones, a la salida, me gusta felicitar a la tripulación por su lucha contra las condiciones meteorológicas.
Una pregunta, Lucas, ¿Crees que seguirá habiendo problemas de cancelaciones? Estoy muy preocupado porque mi hija tiene que regresar a Barcelona desde Viena con LEVEL. Le cancelaron el vuelo del 30 de Junio y lo cambió al 1 de Julio. ¿Como saber si ese vuelo saldrá? Cada día día que pasa es un día más de pagar hotel. Muchas gracias.

Respecto a las cancelaciones, la verdad es que no lo se... Yo tenía un vuelo con Air France para mediados de Julio y me lo han cancelado ayer... Yo creo que las programaciones de Julio serán bastantes estables, y las cancelaciones serán muy reducidas. Precisamente vuelo con LEVEL desde Vienna pero el día 3 de Julio, destino Mallorca.

My first flight after the COVID start is planned for the 3rd of July.
How do you know other planes destinations?
Mainly checking them on the FlgihtRadar24 app, but also with the airport info screens. Also, the general knowledge of airlines also helps.

Esta semana la "excusa" es que he estado editando vídeos todos los días sin parar para adelantar un poco trabajo por lo que me viene por delante y, además, estuve preparando una "nueva función" del canal que se va a implementar a partir de Julio.
Ese avión había salido de Londres temprano por la mañana hacia Podgorica y los mismos pilotos lo trajeron de vuelta a Londres. Ahí se produce un cambio de tripulación, tanto de cabina como de pilotos. Nuevos pilotos harán el vuelo a Tel Aviv y vuelta.
El máximo tiempo que un piloto puede estar trabajando está fijado por ley (se llama Duty Time, y no son sólo las horas de vuelo, sino que incluye el tiempo entre escalas, el tiempo que tu estás preparando el vuelo en el aeropuerto antes de ir al avión, así como el tiempo que tardas desde el avión hasta casa al acabar). Depende de diversos factores, como son si es tu base desde la que operas (o estás temporalmente en otra), la hora de salida del primer vuelo, cuantos vuelos vas a hacer, si son vuelos de día o de noche... El máximo Duty Time se puede colocar en alrededor de 12 horas en un día, seguido de un período de descanso etc, pero es algo a lo que nunca llegamos. Lo normal son entre 6 y 9 horas de duty time, entre 4 y 6 horas de vuelo.
* Límites legales de Duty Time:
- 60 duty hours en 7 días consecutivos.
- 110 duty hours en 14 días consecutivos.
- 190 duty hours en 28 días consecutivos.
* Límites legales de Horas de Vuelo:
- 100 horas en 28 días consecutivos.
- 900 horas en un año de calendario (de Enero a Diciembre).
- 1.000 horas en 12 meses.
Todo esto es para pilotos. Para los tripulantes de cabina no lo se con exactitud.

La verdad es que la lluvia no le hace ni cosquillas a un avión. Otra cosa es cuando esta se congela, ahí si que ya puede haber problemas. Aunque para eso están los sistemas de antihielo del avión y se evita volar en esas condiciones. :)
@@OnBoardHD Si el hielo modifica la aerodinámica del ala si no recuerdo mal hubo un accidente de un atr de American eagle causado por el hielo

I think it wouldn't be really cheap that flight, as probably AerLingus is the only operator. I guess from Stansted could be more affordable... let's see. But I will write it down :)

Puedo preguntar con qué resolución has visto el vídeo? Ese podría haber sido el problema de que no se leyesen bien.
Admito que a veces el contraste con el fondo las hace difíciles de leer, y estoy trabajando en ello para solucionarlo, pero de ahí decir que son casi invisibles... bueno, la verdad es que has sido el primero que me lo ha comentado.

Yep, I've heard about the new Wizzair base! I think it will be great for Milan in general! Great city with just 1 low-cost airline (Ryanair in Bergamo). So now more visitors can go to such beautiful city! :))
This was the route I was supposed to take until it got cancelled
London Luton is headquarters for easyjet and is the 2nd biggest base for wizz air

Very misleading.... This is a pre coronavirus event. I dare you do the same for post virus era. It would be definitely a disappointing experience.
