Au départ, il y a un rêve de pierre. Montagnes, cailloux, statues, bâtiments. S’assurer de points d’appui solides, dessiner l’immuable et l’immobile. Poser son regard. Puis très vite on contourne les édifices, on se fraie un pas- sage dans le minéral, avec l’idée qu’il y a d’autres choses à voir, derrière, à côté, plus loin. Les compagnons de route trouvés au hasard, la promenade s’oriente vers le sud mais ne perd pas le nord. Sans jamais se départir de son humour, Catherine Meurisse livre pour la première fois une série d’images sans légende, mais pas sans histoire. Un voyage aussi beau qu’inattendu.
La lauréate du Prix Drawing Now sera annoncée lors de l’ouverture de la foire.
