Shame you didn't enjoy it much, but I really enjoyed it. I've seen it twice at this point, and even with its flaws - I think it delivers the funnest time I've had with a film in a while. So cartoonish, and goofy... but so much fun I can't hate on it. Great Review!
Yeah, I can see your point. Even going back to the Showa Era Godzilla movies out of Japan, they get ridiculously cheesy, but that’s part of the fun. When I saw the suplex and other wrestling moves, I had to laugh, but looking back at it now, it’s probably an homage to the humanesque qualities of Godzilla in the original movies with people in suits fighting over a miniature set. I was going to see it because of all the funny memes people are making. (the scene where Kong uses a smaller Kong to attack other big apes). But I managed to control myself. The Jack Sparrow way it was! Thank God I didn't went to the theatre. This film would've bored me to death. They should just make a 20-25 minute short film if they can't come up with a decent story. Just 25 minute of big monsters going crazy. The host is awesome.
Agreed, we only get glimpses of Godzilla for most of the movie. The smaller Kong as a weapon was pretty comical, but I thought he surely died after that. Got a good beating. Poor little bugger. But he just kept on going. The fights are all short lived and intercut with a bunch of the human story. It’ll be popular but largely underwhelming. Thanks for watching!
It def sounds like I enjoyed the movie more than most especially with the titans battle and fight sequence 😂 I would have def tuned out if they had fist bumped I do agree about the lore of hollow earth it slowed the movie down a lot great review man

Why was it disappointing? Was it because there was no non binary bipoc stunning and brave characters???? Dont listen to this beta the movie delivered what it was suppose to which was a Mega Monster Brawl. This guy makes his wifes boyfriend breakfast every morning then does his laundey

I read the title as "Godzilla times Kong". I have no idea whether that is correct. The super-gigantic skeleton looks interesting.
