Wonderful video! Grace is a great teacher. She breaks apart phrases, showing how they are formed. The student "understands", which is 100 times better than memorizing. No need to memorize, once you understand. And Grace explains this in English! (不可能!没有人说英语那么好!)
Thank you grace. I realized it was pretty easier learning chinese than I thought after watching your CHINESE TONES vid. Hope you'll do more in the future💗
Thank you so much for this video! It is just what I need and so dense that I will have watch it a few more times to digest. Complements have been one of the most difficult things for me as a self-taught adult learner. You can't look most of them up in a dictionary, Chinese Grammar wiki barely scratches the surface, and even immersion has still left things very vague and fuzzy. I hope you do more videos like these. Also, thank you so much for using Traditional Characters; it is really hard to find good content that includes them.
These are really good grammar videos recently. It can be hard to figure out all of this by ourselves, so it really helps to hear you explain all these concepts. Thx Grace!
Hi grace! I’m from India I really love your videos 💝 and please don’t stop making videos I know you won’t. I want to see even when I grow up 💞 I want to go to China when I grow up and you’ll always be my inspiration ☺
谢谢你亲爱的恩典. You are a great teacher. Nice to listen to and see you. And your promotion was also very ℊood. Im getting that translator pen. Grace be with you always 🙏👍🏽🌹😀💕

You only mentioned 不在意 in passing, but it's super useful for me. I now know how to say "I don't care/mind" at the end of a sentence. I only knew 不管 but that can't end sentences like this. Thank you so much!
It's a great video, but I have a suggestion. "In retrospect" is very formal. More common phrases are "Looking back (on it (now))...," or "Now that I think of/about it..."
If I come from a background of Japanese, will it be easy for me to learn Chinese? 😬 I can figure out some things for example the 又 is a very formal way to write “as well” in Japanese and I saw it used describe how the moon is 又大又bright. Also things like 下雪 “down snow” for to snow. Anyways this was quite fun and it makes me wonder how you would even conjugate verbs in Chinese. 🤔

This video is great. This is something that only native Chinese speakers can explain. Please continue making videos like this.

看不起 can have two different meanings
1) to look down on (as mentioned in the video)
2) cannot not afford to see/watch. 一張球賽的票要一千元 我可看不起
