Mineola Volunteer FD Thunderbolt Malfunction - November 28, 2020

The Thunderbolt went off at 4:56 PM, and the firefighters ignored it and didn't respond. The usual 6:00 PM test didn't happen. Some problem with the timer maybe.

Lets hope this isn't being replaced because of this. It's the timer. It has to be the timer, or a siren hack. I hope it's the timer.

Update, siren has been removed and replaced with a loaner 1003, expected time for lack of appearance til it’s back is about 2 years.

It's going off randomly. Seems like an alarm/fire call, but it's not. The firefighters are ignoring it and not showing up when it goes off.

Hi Laina, welcome. Yes, that's Alex G. 😃 Good news, there's a Thunderbolt on top of the fire station again. It's yellow, but I don't know if it's the original red one repainted, or the later yellow one that used to be on tall poll. There was no 6:00 PM test this week, so they may not have hooked it up yet. We'll be there next Saturday to see if there's a test or alarm.
