    Watching the fire burn 🔥
In the darkness of the night
Sparks fly out like stars 🌟
The fire is getting smaller ✨
Have to go and get more wood 🪵

An excellent story from your childhood. It invoked various memories of my own childhood, good ones, especially with my grandmother. Thank you for reposting it, HG ❤‍🔥

Your childhood stories are endearing HG. It's like the fourth time I've heard it, but it's so well verbally illustrated.

I remember when I was a little girl I saw “Fire” being performed by The crazy world of Arthur Brown on Top of The Pops and I was both terrified and fascinated by the fire bursting out of his head. You describe something so destructive in such a compelling way .

HG, your description of fire and how it affects everything is exquisite! When you were describing the burning the pictures of your abusers in your fires, it reminded me of the burning of witches.

I knew a boy, around 14 years old. He was new. I tried to help him. He was similar to you, HG. And that's all I will say about that.

The child in the thumbnail could be around 2 or 3 years old.
Were you that young when you became fascinated by fire, HG?
For me, fire is light, heat and nothing else.
Perhaps you enjoy the destructive side of fire.

So after I saw Star Wars 1977 or so I was just 6 or 7 years old. I found my self playing in the basement and thought if i tie a bunch of newspapers to the back of that old baby carriage it should fly across the basement just like in Star Wars lol. The mind of a child is something else. Ya no such luck just a pissed of mom and a lot of smoke in the house. Never saw a pack of matches or lighter laying around again lol

I enjoyed watching pictures and wedding memorabilia burn I had the flush the ring in the toilet. I totally understand the enjoyment. It was a temporary high and it didn’t help me heal.

This story is as well fascinating as disturbing. Now I understand, that controlling the fire was regaining control of your environment you were at mercy of. Along with the sweet taste of revenge.
I wonder now if revenge has more to do with justice or with regained control?

  • @reverentalexanderchezeley-6367

Yes, I used to do this as a child, burn newspapers in the locked bathroom in the sink for fun, fascinated.
No Hg, medically speaking you have a Narcissist core, wrapped around that is layers of factor one primary psychopathy, and not the other way around as you say roughly.

Then you've have already given Hg power over you by showing him fear.
He won't like you for that and see you as weak and pathetic, stand up to him and challeng him in civilized way, and he'll respect you, even begrudgingly admire you. He won't like it, but he'll respect it.
I know that cos my late father was a hybrid of the upper Mid-Range NPD-factor one psychopath. He was a powerful man physically and intellectually.
He highly respected people who were strong, self disciplined, a hardcore mind, a cast iron jaw and a will made of steel.
Providing they were clean and well presented and turned out to.
Don't ever show Hg or any psychopath fear, but do show him respect as a human being, reverence even for what he is, and also his achievements, and he has many achievements to.
      Blessings.

So, you're a reverend? The good Lord really has a sense of irony when the son of a narcissist makes a living as a reverend. Just wonderful.
Although I think it would be great to have a humorous Welsh reverend as a half-brother, I have to admit that the likelihood of this is not very high, as I can't imagine how our parents - Welsh and Austrian - could have arranged an “acquaintance”. What a pity.
But I am happy to have a half-brother in spirit and wish you and yours all the best.
      Best wishes from Austria☺🤗
