This is so interesting. Various religions would classify these narcissistic traits as ‘sins of commission’, inculcating a heavy sense of guilt on impressionable minds. How much healthier to point out the positive aspects of these traits as well as the negative. But then again what better weapon for Authority than creating a sense of guilt or wrongness.

I've yet to read anything on the subject of "cognitive narcissism." Some have professions that require narcissistic behavior, but it's cognitively applied much like a narcissist would with cognitive empathy. An example of this would be the situational behavior of an empathic defense lawyer or surgeon...

High: Jealousy, Argumentativeness, Selfishness.
Low: Envy, Infidelity, Resentment and this is the bad news.
