First 5 European Cups (equivalent to the current Champions League) at club level won by Real Madrid were not against 4 teams. Set your facts straight. Besides, they were won against the best european teams of the moment. Many still famous now like AC Milan, Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Benfica, Juventus, Atlético de Madrid, Sporting de Lisboa, Porto, etc. And many fantastic teams of that moment like Stade de Reims, Fiorentina, Standard Lieja, Glasgow Rangers, etc. Just to name a few.
The fact that you are not aware of that only proves of big your ignorance is in terms of football culture. Or maybe you are just another pathetic Real Madrid hater. And I would use pathetic to describe any guy who hates a team. Any team.
On the other hand, Real Madrid is by far the best team in the 20th Century in terms of regularity, competitiveness, and important titles won. Followed by Juventus, Barcelona and Bayern München. In that specific order. Other great teams during this period are Ajax, Milan, Liverpool, FC Porto, Manchester United, Benfica, etc.
As for the 21st Century, the best team is clearly FC Barcelona -because of the same aspects named before-, followed by Real Madrid and Bayern München. At the moment, the european top five is: Real Madrid, Bayern München, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid and Juventus FC.
The best leagues at the moment are: spanish, english, german, italian and portuguese, in that order. But from a historical point of the view the order should be: spanish, italian, german, english and portuguese.
All of this is said with due respect to south american football clubs. They've always had tons of talented players but their clubs lost the edge in terms of competitiveness a while ago, mostly due to economic reasons and poor club management.
