Richard, I havent ridden since the 70s and have been looking around for a motorcycle again...lol...this was a very good review and I can tell you have put many, many miles on motorcycles. Subbed and will go back to see what you hav posted and look forward to seeing more vids. I could learn a lot from you. Thanks.
That's very kind of you Roger. Yes, I've been riding 45 years, have owned 35 motorcycles, and ridden hundreds, so I have a rough idea by now! Why would you have to put on different shocks to make it comfortable which it should have been from the factory in the first place especially at that price. What am I missing here
You'd have to ask someone from the factory. But it's quite a generic thing with the cruiser market as a whole. A low seat height dictates shorter travel suspension, so less shock absorption. The new Sportster S for instance only has 2" of rear travel. That's one reason why cruiser sales are pretty stagnant, while sales of road focussed adventure bikes have grown so much in recent years. Comfort and reassuring handling matter to a significantly large populous of buyers.

Cheers, Dave. The video took a lot longer to put together than the actual ride! :-D
Traffic was a bitch, to bad you couldn’t ride this bike on some open roads which it was designed for.
Yeah, the traffic was suddenly post-covid crazy that day!
You can pass the time by screwing with the touchscreen.
Why are you having trouble catching your breath?
Asthma, high pollen count, and an exceptionally good microphone.
