I just picked up mine about 2 weeks ago. The performance (in sport mode) is surprisingly good. I do miss that V8 sound, though. Suspension is stiffer than I expected, and the turbo lag is not too bad. Driving conservatively, you can push 40mph on the highway and about 28 around town. Driving fun will push you down to
Update... Ford let me drive a 2024 GT Premium for a day and also a 2024 Ecoboost Premium + HPP for a day. I ended up buying the Ecoboost! It was very interesting to see the Ecboost had BETTER suspension components than the GT. I was surprised how tamed the GT was UNLESS driving in Sport Mode with paddle shifters.
Only way I’m buying an ecoboost, it needs an actual manual. Bring back the manual, Ford! Don’t care if it didn’t sell. This won’t sell with just an auto @ford
It's not really that confusing. In simple terms, a manual transmission means using a clutch to engage/disengage the gears yourself. This means your feet and arms work together to tell the transmission what RPM the engine speed turns the differential. You manually control the connection from the engine to the wheels. Using paddle shifters in "manual" mode on an automatic transmission simply means you tell the transmission when to do its job but you are not controlling the physical connection. The EcoBoost only has paddle shifters, and therefore there is no physical connection from the engine to the wheels that are controlled by you manually to change gears.
The S550 looked like a Mustang had a baby with a Fusion. This looks like it had a baby with a Taurus... They stopped making truly beautiful Mustangs after 2014
@@bobert866 what? They literally removed every edge/curve/body line and make the car a shapeless box. No more splitters. No more hood scoops. The 2018-2023 gen will forever be the greatest mustang
What did you expect to happen? The F-150 PowerBoost has a 430HP V6 engine. That's 115HP more. The base Mustang is a 4-cylinder. You won't be able cruise around corners on curvy mountain roads like the Mustang though. They are different cars for different purposes. The base Mustang is meant to be sporty without the sports car price tag. It's still a "quick" car, just not as fast as others. Unless of course you go for the Dark Horse.
We may not see hybrid-powered EcoBoost Mustangs. The added weight would negate the sporty nimbleness of the platform. The V8 may see a hybrid variant as they are more straight-line performance-oriented and already have a more premium price. But I can't see it happening in the S650 platform.
More smiles per gallon, that's what I'm talking about 😂
I have one, I absolutely recommend 👌🏻
same
buying this as a gift to myself! thank you for this review
Great choice! You're welcome :)

This one costs more the $40k. For that price, might as well buy a V8 >_

Am I the only one who Lowkey hates how many screens their putting in modern cars

They sell perfectly fine in automatic lol. The 10sp is their popular transmission.
Ppl don't buy manuals lmao you know nothing.
I agree! At least have the manual as an option.
A lot of New Zealand models of the 2.3L ecoboost are fitted with vented bonnet(hood) at point of sale(p.o.s)
Flappy Paddles are not a manual transmission
I’m gonna get this with the performance pack. If I get the GT my insurance might be like 700-800 per month lol
Good reason to go Eco!
Subbed mustang my fave car
I really envy you guys. To get a car like this for only $32,000
because if it were in Thailand the price would be $108,600 because of import taxes.
Needs a manual
If there is NO manual then what is that M button for and what does shifter do? Confusing info?

Does the hpp increase the top speed?
No.
🗿
The shifter is so ugly
There are a lot of aftermarket options for both auto and manual shifters in the Mustang.
My opinion. Mustang 🐎 should only be 5.0 GT. Or more. Anything less, just buy a Hyundai.
amen brother
Bring back the 3.7l V6!!!
I wish ford would make a 4 door mustang sport car that’s what everyone wants a competitor to the chargers
The GTs Should Have the Quan 4 Exhaust Pipes Only.
Wasting money 😂
not really.
It's really a shame how bad it got. The s550 was an awesome beautiful car and this car is just flat out ugly

This one is way better in terms of looks. Too much tech to drive up margin tho.

S550 was ugly.
I hated all mustangs looks except the old 70 to 90 and this new one
No
Yes

Si 😂

they should have made it a hybrid like the f150 because my f150 powerboost waxed one of these
