I am seventy and have heard many wonderful musicians, but Perelman stands head and shoulders above any violinist in my lifetime for his sheer accuracy on every note he plays
@@shanedelgado666 theres been so many greats within the past 100 years, and what is your metric for "greatest"? What abbout Frank Peter Zimmermann, Heifetz, Roman Kim, Augustin Hadelich, Ginette Neveu, hell, even Eugène Ysaÿe who is mentioned in the video lived within the past 100 years...
Not sure about accuracy. Perlman is my favorite living violinist, but for raw accuracy, Hahn, Kavakos, Hadelich, etc might be slightly better. That being said, I don't think either of them have quite the... well, whatever it is that Perlman has. Sheer musicality perhaps.
There are so many talents today, it's so hard to tell who plays the best. I always put it this way though, Perelman opened up the door for modern violinists, it is safe to say no violinists now wasn't inspired by him at some point.

Excect Perlman himself would say that Heifetz was a god. i agree with him.
