I just couldnt beat him with my underleveled mudkip, and I couldnt use flash so I couldn’t navigate the cave, so I couldnt leave dewford. Of course I didn’t consider grinding in the cave because that would have taken forever. I was little, so I was dumb, but I felt SO SMART when I figured out Brawly would be POWERLESS against a ghost-type.
What he needed to do at the start was "lose" to the zigzagoon which causes it to flee instead of give exp loss so he would've cleared the first rival battle easier
@WNC Aaron , anti-age cream: “Tired of constantly picking fights with people so that you have new enemies to suck the blood from? Try Anti-Die, the newest cream that totally won’t destroy your face :)”
As weird as it sounds, this seems like it actually, like, makes pokemon fun? In regular pokemon, you're encouraged to just level up to beat any challenge. You don't have to be good, and you don't have to catch more than 6 pokemon. Here, you're constantly catching new pokemon as you run the old ones down, and you're always underleveled so you have to use strategy. It's perfect.
There's a similar challenge where Pokemon don't get EXP, so the same thing about catching new Pokemon repeatedly applies. This one is definitely harder since it makes sweeping strategies unviable, and traversing long forced trainer battle sections will require a lot of new catching in between. Don't even know how to handle the Elite4.
It feels like he turned Pokemon Emerald into LOZ breath of the wild weapons. Constantly finding new ones in the area cause the old ones break in big encounters.
There are workaround that makes the challenge much easier: 1)breed a bunch of sturdy endeavur Arons. 2)use sandstorm whit the first one innthe turn you get thank to sturdy. Then spam Todoroki Enji whit the others, unless you need to reset the sand. Most trainers have 3 or less pokemons, so they will run out before you. There is a few situations where this won't work, but not that many. Later innteh game you get the shell bell and can turnnit into the true FEAR.
this sounds like legitimately the toughest challenge. I guess it means going against the E4 with freshly caught pokemon, and teaching them the best moves available.

“Ant. Why are you even.”
My man just released a level 100 wolf into the wild. I swear children are gonna go missing because of that thing.
You know what would be almost impossible? Doing a Nuzlocke run of this.
Imma go tell @pokemonchallenges about this
Quite literally impossible unless there's some shenanigans.
So what about "pokemon but all negative stat changes are permanent" that seems kinda interesting
that's just horrific actually
Sand attack would actually destroy you
Ant needs to do this holy shit
“Sand Attack... that’s annoying, but I can deal with it.”

Feck. That moment when you find a nice video and know there must be a part 2....and you see uploaded 1 hour ago...and thus you have to wait.
That Watson battle was the single biggest brain Pokémon strat I’ve ever seen by a country mile.
I’m so happy he used the Sableye strat for brawly. That’s how I got myself past him on my first pokemon playthrough ever back when I was a kid.
"I still wear all the clothes I wore in high school"
Yo same, and I just finished college.
Yo same, and I'm... still in highschool
Whenever he gets Fly, he could get petty cash by fighting the trainers on early routes...
Or just catch 6 Zigzagoons and bike peddle for a while so they pickup random stuff to sell or extra Pokéballs.
Alolan Marowak that learns it's best ghost type move 1 level before Cubone evolves into it: I see this as an absolute win!
What he needed to do at the start was "lose" to the zigzagoon which causes it to flee instead of give exp loss so he would've cleared the first rival battle easier

So thats why my friend's grandma looks 20 when shes about 60. Never knew anti aging products works that great.
yeah she just drank the blood of her enemies to age down and be immortal
@@ArgonOil is she eating the hearts to gain courage?
@WNC Aaron , anti-age cream:
“Tired of constantly picking fights with people so that you have new enemies to suck the blood from? Try Anti-Die, the newest cream that totally won’t destroy your face :)”
@@ArgonOil close, they use baby foreskins in anti-aging cream
@@Luci_Diavol yes and she is also eating the brain to gain their knowledge
This must be how Ash’s pikachu lost to a snivy that never had experience in a fight.
So in this mode you feel like Ash himself.
There are workaround that makes the challenge much easier:
1)breed a bunch of sturdy endeavur Arons.
@@noukan42 sturdy doesnt work that way in 3rd gen, it just stops ohko moves like guillotine
God Marrow is such a beast, thought it'd be the last we see him for gym 2 but nonono he poison stall sweeps
loved the third gymleader strat, thats the quality content i subbed for
I'm livid over Ant's 500 IQ plays
this sounds like legitimately the toughest challenge. I guess it means going against the E4 with freshly caught pokemon, and teaching them the best moves available.
imagine doing this in a later gen where exp share affects the whole party AND you get exp from catching pokemon
omg, this challenge run is amazing, that geodude - sableeye combo was incredible!!
Idea: Get pokemon with pickup to sell items
Always the first thing I do when I play Gen 3. Gotta round out the team with the ziggy bois!
Funnily enough in emerald the ability was changed so the items depend on level. So he’d only ever get the extremely cheap stuff.
@@mysticrainbowdragon it would still be useful as he could get nuggets rarely and potions, full heals, and super potions even at lvl 1
Big Boss Zigzagoons love to loot. Nothing more we can say.
Considering you need to do battles to actually have a chance for a pickup proc, that kind of makes it not worth it.
orochimaru wished he could learn this kind of technique
I get the reference from naruto lmao
I was just watching naruto
bruh
Yeah so true bro😂‼️
This is the exact opposite of what he was trying to do
