The music director is correct: one can discern an electronic organ compared to a pipe organ. I love to listen to pipe organs, and no two are alike. Nothing can compare to the "King of Instruments." However we cannot look down on churches who lack the financial resources for a pipe organ. Seeing the planning, building, and installation of a pipe organ is fascinating.
Your members were excited throughout this project and worked together thanks to the leadership involving the members. Now it is evident that your organ will resound with the joyous sound of "To God Be the Glory, Great Things He Has Done." From a brother in the faith in Virginia.

This is the most reverent instrument that is badly needed in our US Churches!

We had a 13 rank pipe organ. Both the music and spirit it brought was beautiful 😊 Then came the new pastor who had it torn out and thrown into the dumpster like common garbage😮. He needed space for the band "guitars, drums, strobe lights, dancers, oversized speakers etc.🥺 Now I dream of the new pastor's feet sticking up from out of the dumpster😢

If I lived in Texas and lived near there I would certainly want to be a member of St. Cyprian's. A beautiful congregation! Thanks for the great video!

I agree, the Church should be our family, a place to find peace and love through fellowship.

What a beautiful story! I long for a beautiful organ for our church; however our church enjoys a more contemporary type of music; we really don't even have a choir; but that is what makes programs like this so special. Kudos for the vision and mindset to think outside the box. Well Done! Also to Casavant; your instruments are top shelf and absolutely beautiful...

You could have a choir. All you need to do is engage the young people in a Boy's choir - like Libera from St. Phillips in Croydon, England, and encourage members of the parish to participate in an adult choir. It doesn't have to be JUST for the service. It can be for the joy of making music, singing songs. and participating in something exciting.

You people fell for the hype from Rodgers that the electronic/ pipe combination was wonderful. The pipe sections still need tuning, people!!! They didn't tell you that an electronic instrument, which would control all sound producing elements, would be falling apart in just 20 years or so. Compare that to a REAL PIPE ORGAN which can last for 300 years - (See Europe) The Rodgers console are not even made from wood, it is chip board covered with a stick-on veneer. Organs built in the USA in the mid 1850 period ARE STILL PLAYING. There are more modern electro-pneumatic instruments still playing that are 120 years old. Sure, they need releathering every 50 to 60 years, but that is less than the cost of a replacement electronic fake the produces sound from speakers, not real, hand made pipes. Get a REAL PIPE ORGAN in the beginning and you would not have to spend money replacing it 5 times a century. By the way, the chests and pipes used by Rodgers are not even made in the USA, They come from Italy.

While I agree with you about pipes, it’s attitudes like YOURS that turn people off to the organ. In today’s society, people are just turned off. People like YOU are killing the interest and of the art of organ building. They just simply buy a digital so they don’t have to deal with snobs.

Did you actually bother to watch the video? The new organ is a Casavant. The Rodgers is no more! THEY GOT A REAL PIPE ORGAN and they are thrilled and excited about it.

Your congregation looks very old. How big will your congregation be in 20 years? Are you suffering from declining attendance like most American churches?

It’s not just churches in the USA. The same thing is happening here in the U.K.

@@chriswade7470 You can see the future. Christianity is projected to lose 100 million believers by 2050. The reason is evident in your church, mostly old people and not many young ones. You don't have enough attendance to continue paying the electric bill.
The last time I attended church was at the Cathedral Notre Dame in Paris 20 years ago. On that Sunday morning in July, the service was mostly empty. However, hundreds of tourists were walking through the Cathedral taking pictures. Anyone of them could have sat down and worshipped. Even that long ago Christian "belief" was waning.
