Lord of the rings is the number 1 trilly, if you want the backstory read the silmarilly

Ha!! I see what you did! Triple that "Noice!"
You win the comment section!
They should've included this line 😀👏👏👏👏👏👏. By the way, I'm starting reading The Silmarilly today 😊.
@@silvia-90_ You wont regret, its a masterpiece!
It does starts a little bit slow with the creation of the world, but when you get to the Noldor's journey to Beleriand (Middle earth) and their quest to retrieve the Silmarils, you will love it all that unfolds.
Its my favorite book of all time, and by far.
Can only dream that once they will adapt the first age to videogame or as a series, until then Im looking forward to see what Amazon does with the second age, hope its good!
I was not ready for Hugo Weaving in a puffy jacket, beanie and thick chain necklace rapping in Elvish while Andy Serkis play the flute.
No one was, but we received the gift nonetheless.
You weren't?
I was SO ready.
neither was i. had no idea he had that in him.
Sindarin or Quenya?
I like how Sean Astin reacts to Elijah Wood saying "I throw it in the fire" like, "if you say so Mr Frodo".

My thoughts exactly lol
Yeah that had me dying hahahaha it's so good
That had me dying

Hugo Weaving showing up and rapping in Elvish was just totally unexpected and amazing.
i didnt realize it was him until i saw the comments...
Was any of it expected? lol
@@Soothing432 So it's the perfect Hugo Weaving role, since no one recognizes him in anything until they're told it's him.
The fact that Hugo Weaving is rapping in Quenta elvish (the formal, high elvish normally only used in ceremonies and stuff) instead of Sindarin (the every day elvish that you hear more of in the movies) fucking SENDS ME
The fact that you know this, lol.
thats why I couldn't figure it if it was real. rarely hear Quenya
Such perfection. I haven’t seen any news about Mr. Weaving lately-he must be enjoying the fruits of his labors and being an epic family man. Great beard 🤩 I wish him nothing but happiness.
@@cassieo well he basically told Marvel to fuck off when they asked him to play Red Skull again.
So I guess he no longer worries about money, when he can just turn down such an offer
Hugo Weaving is the fucking greatest.
MARVEL: Do you wanna come back as Red Skull for the biggest movie of all time?
Hugo Weaving: No, thanks.
Stephen Colbert: Do you wanna come back as Thug Elrond for the biggest LOTR Rap of all time?
Hugo Weaving: Hell, yes!
... Misterrrr Anderson.
In Germany this is called an "Ehrenmann".
they literally had to cgi the red skull and find a voice actor cause Hugo Weaving didn't want to come back on Inifinity Wars
This needs more likes. Best comment of all!

Lord of the rings is the number one trilly
The only problem is they cut Tom Bombadilly

He said 'nah sorry mate he was just too silly'
For this latest verse and keeping it rilly

At first I was like “Are you really gonna complain about the number one trilly because they left him out!?” And then I was pleasantly surprised with a custom bar lol 😊

I really love Stephen Colbert's love for LOTR
I'm with Steven. I originally thought The Matrix was going to be my all time favorite trilogy until I saw the mess they made of the 3rd one. Luckily LOTR came along as a solid trilogy; 3 great movies that each stand on their own.

Samwise showing the po-ta-to delights me every time!! 😂
...what's Taters, Precious?
I'm assuming Colbert's team called up some hyper-fixated linguistics PhD who wrote his thesis on Elvish and he was like, "AT LAST my HOUR IS COME."
If Colbert himself didn’t do the translation himself then I am sure they got the ones who worked on the movies’ elvish.
Every millennial dream's job 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

"REMEMBER WHEN THE FOUR OF US RODE BUCKLEBURY FERRY???" The way Sean Astin said it lmao
Why hasn't this got 100M views??? Gollum playing the Irish flute like fire while Elrond raps???
"Will Elijah Woods join us?" 'I don't know will he?" Love that shit!
Sean Austin's dubious reaction to Elijah's claim of throwing the ring in the fire at 2:42 is everything.

OH! I just noticed that! Hahahaha
Hahaha yeah! I have been asking everyone to pay attention to it. The small things in this video are perfect❤
Haha exactly!
That was 100% Colbert's idea I bet. He said a lot of times that Sam is the real hero of the trilogy

3 films, 17 oscars, 0 bad words, 0 sexual scenes, unique and unrepeatable. LOTR is the greatest trilogy ever made.
" *One Trilogy To Rule Them All* "
I couldn't get into Game of Thrones because of that. I mean swearing and sexual content works in other genres but fantasy is a form of escapism and.. I dunno it just doesn't fit.
@@Roflcrabs i'm totally agree with you 🖤
Always so strange to see people begrudge sexuality or cursing, which are both pretty natural things, but don't bat an eye to mass killings in the big battle scenes.
But, then again, that's the mantra of media;
"Violence is fine, just no nipples or f-bombs."
Mind-boggling.
@@Crimsonhighlander LOTR is too violent? I dunno there's a ridiculous amount of foul language in media nowadays, it seems really normalized now to the point of absurdity. Oversexualization seems to be on the decline though. I don't mind violence, gore and sexual content in like horror or thrillers or drama but not in fantasy epics. I'm only interested in heroes being selfless badasses going up against evil villains. Rape, incest, prostitution and foul language kinda takes me out of the experience and is a reminder of how horrible many aspects of our species can be. Plus it seems like cheap shock value. Game of Thrones is super popular and if it doesn't bother you more power to you, and to be fair GoT probably closer to what medieval times were like but I dunno, it just doesn't do it for me.
@@Roflcrabs True fantasy films are something you should be able to bring anyone into.

Still solid SW fan here but gotta respect Mr. Tolkien:
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
