The Wizards of Waverly Place scene is even BETTER, because not only is it subverting toxic stereotypes, it also connects so well with Jerry and Alex’s dynamic. Throughout the whole series, they both learn to respect each other, but specially, Jerry grows to accept that his “little girl” is growing up.
Alex was not only his only daughter, but she was also a troublemaker, so he doubly felt protective over her, but during the show-Alex becomes more responsible, and Jerry becomes more accepting. It’s a sweet moment for both of them.

Like, obviously let's not make out in front of others, but it's not gross or weird to happen to see your daughter (or son) kiss their partner. It's not like he purposely saw. He happened to see her kiss and instead of glaring or scoffing, he smiled cause his daughter is happy.

Omg you should totally do a ranking of the aftermath of the break ups. The best example is watching Teddy go through the stages of grief. “How could you?” This is the disbelief. Then her break down with Amy is the depression. Then the song is the anger. And finally she accepts it. But it would be cool for you to analyze how the characters deal with the break ups. Is it done in an episode or does the break up affect the characters through multiple episodes, and how is it done? Please do this.
Yes! As a kid, this was my first time seeing a breakup & it honestly even now it still feels so realistic.

I completely agree with you about the toxic masculinity thing and, of course, it's great that Alex's dad is happy and supportive of his daughter. But I think people (I am people😭) are mostly weirded out by Alex's dad just standing there and watching them kiss. Idk I'm already uncomfortable seeing people I'm friends with kiss😭 I can't imagine my own daughter 💀
To be fair, it’s a TV show. Something like that probably wouldn’t happen IRL or would be uncomfortable IRL, but showing Jerry smiling at them is a very quick and understandable way to show his acceptance of the relationship.

That liv and holden break up scene never fails to make me tear up. Everything about it is done so freaking well. Also I agree with you about the Alexs dad scene. Not once when watching that scene did I think it was weird he was watching Alex, my only thought was 'aw its nice to see him be supportive of her'. Im honestly surprised so many people saw it differently.

The thing that really killed me about the Maddie and Diggie break-up is that when I did watch it (I live in Spain and the series tended to be broadcasted in Disney Channel Spain a year or two later than in the US) I already knew about the actual break-up and abuse that was going on behind the scenes.

for the breakup aftermath jessica’s speech scene is good. there breakup broke me and seeing her say the speech just did me wrong. it was such a good scene i loved it and it’s perfect for that video (if you make it)

i am BEGGING for a breakup aftermaths video. the scene of teddy and amy is so killer, and that scene of alex with the blue blanket in the lair after her and mason break up is such a clear picture in my mind. i feel like once i got older and had breakups of my own those moments got even more impactful and i really wanna see how they all hold up against eachother.
About the scaffold scenes: just make a list of most dangerous moments in these disney and nickelodeon shows, because there is a lot when we think about

I highly recommend Gamer's Guide. It was so good! I was so sad when it got canceled. (Fair warning, if you watch the show, the ending will frustrate you.) It might be fun to see you rewatch some of your old ship it or rip it videos. Or to see you do another new batch of them. Those are my favorite videos

See for me I do think 'Barbie: Spy Squad' is a little boring but I think it's one of the only times that - up to that point at least - all of the main characters were treated as equally important? It's not Barbie's aunt that's a spy but her friend's and she's not the one with a love interest it's the other friend and they in general are presented well as a team of friends that all grow in the same pace so that by the end it feels satisfying.
Now, if only the dolls for that movie were even remotely good. Why we never got ones with them in their regular spy outfits I'll never know

Honestly, I'm so hurt by the kisses lmao. Jake and Miley is definitely top 5 for me. The build-up was SO good. I also would have probably left Kim and Ron in there, as well as Stella and Joe. But the iconic Trevor and Maddie kiss?! As someone who shipped Troy and Sharpay WAY too hard (and always wanted Zac and Ashley to date lmao), this will always be top 5 material, if not #1.

I actually watched this video when it came out like 3 months ago, but I never watched it all the way through because I wasn’t sure what was going to happen when Caitlin got to her video where she ranks all the Barbie movies because that video itself is very long and the video itself is like an hour long, so I went back and rewatched it all the way through and I loved it like I love all her other videos.

Just because a movie is for kids doesn’t mean it has to be bad or boring!! The fact that so many of the Barbie movies ARE really good-genuinely funny, entertaining, and interesting-is proof of that!

I remember a lot of those break ups espcially both the Liv and Maddie ones; cause I started watching that show shortly after seeing Descendants. Well, the one that hit the hardest was definatly Liv and Holden one; cause I remember watching them trying to get together, and trying to make it work. But, then that scene comes, and it is like Oh, C'mon you were good together, and now it over?! Also I sort of did ship Maddie, and Diggie together, but after finding out how the couple was in real life, and how the actor that played Diggie treated Dove; I was like well that ship is over, cause he was such a jerk towards her!

Hey Caitlin, i have a few show suggestions i think you might like (specifically 3)! Ive been rewatching them and thought theyre similar to shows you make videos about. Theyre all disney-esque shows but aren't originally from disney.
one is called Backstage, you might have heard of it since it was airing around the same time as The Lodge. Its a canadian show that disney did air for a short period of time (the same way they air episodes of miraculous now). Its about teens who go to this arts boarding school, so theres songs and dances and drama and a lot of ships. Like The Lodge, it only got 2 seasons and was canceled right after.
The second is called The Next Step, its another canadian show (despite the fact its produced by the britian company CBBC so the UK sees content for the show first before canada or any other country). Its about characters who are a part of a competitive dance studio, so theres drama and dancing and competitions they prepare for at the end of the season. Theres 8 seasons, the 8th one yet to air, but you can just watch the first 3 seasons cause its the original 3, and then continue on if you choose to. There are so many ships and id be curious on your opinions on them.
The last is called Dance Academy, an australian show with some of the same producers as H2o (the mermaid show). Its almost a combination of the previous 2 shows, teens who go to a dance boarding school. There are some ships, a lot of dancing, and it has a slightly more serious tone than the others, especially starting in season 2. There are 3 seasons and a movie that takes place after the show.
All of these shows are so special to me and i was thinking they might be shows you'd enjoy too!

The Cody & Bailey breakup was hard to watch, but it undoubtedly needed to happen. Their relationship was built on an unhealthy foundation and the trust just wasn't there
