I like your technique. Obviously built up over time. The finished product looks great. Have never seen your channel before, I will make it a point to check out your other videos. And, it's nice to hear an Irish accent again.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video and welcome to my channel. Yes this is indeed part of full build series, I have a playlist for the other build episodes now on the end titles of this video, hope you will find those videos equally as enjoyable :)
Holy crap Shane… I just watched the whole M8 series from start to end and you did an unbelievable job! You turned an otherwise-plain kit into a beautiful and believable version of the real thing.
Thanks Bruce! It was so much fun to add the those little details, really made it a great experience! Also I'm really enjoying your videos on the JadgPanzer some great information you are sharing with us mate!
It looks great once you get used to spraying that lightly on the model, took me a few goes on the underside to get used to, but think it's worth the practice
Hi Shane, that was a fantastic build and paint and weathering finish, i have the M20 on my bench and also have the same kit in my stash, hope all is well with you and your family
An impressive result, Shane. Excellent series, both visually and the commentary together. You present in such an easily understood and sequential way with lots of tips shared and techniques demonstrated. A real pleasure to watch.
Thanks mate, its one of my favorites I've done of late, so what's next? Firstly we will finishing off Diorama for Panther 126 and put that project to bed. Then it will be on to a few Ardennes projects I have been preparing for
Great series, really enjoyed this build 👏 Always good seeing the painting and weathering and hearing the rationale for doing it (you can never talk too much, lol). Thanks for all your hard work building and recording all of it for our benefits. M8 turned out fantastic and your figures are getting better, especially the faces (I think your shading on the clothing could be a bit more subtle and blended better but just constructive criticism). Overall, awesome job!
Thanks Jerry, ya I could of blended the crew a little better, as I kinda of rushed them in afternoon to get this video out, but I may well go back to them and add some better transitions from the highlights to shadows as they are not yet glued in place
Nicely done, Shane! Very methodical approach to the kit from start to finish. Question for you, and the your community; do you think paint retarder would work with those mud effects to slow the drying time, or would that eat into the paint underneath?
Thank you! That is a great question regarding adding retarder to those mud effects to increase their work time, I haven't tried it as of yet, though in theory it should have some effect as it is an acrylic based medium, though I wonder if the heavy volume of the product might diminish the effect of the retarder possibly. However there is one way to find out but to try it out! :)
Thank you! I really enjoyed working on this lovely little kit. I've never had much luck with Ammo paints at all, so don't really bother with them. But I hear that their weathering products are good
Hey hey Shane fantastic build my friend. Love that air recognition tarp. Red blue and yellow white. I remember red was combat blue trucks rear area can't remember white or yellow. Anyway awesome. Antenna is spot on. Is all of this going on a Diorama????
Cheers mate, I really like adding them as they are very common on vehicles and they add a great splash of color and interest to another monotoned model. So with the air panels your I believe they are all doubled side with a color side and a white side, and your right that electric blue was used on support vehicles, whereas the cerise and arc yellow are used on tanks. Orange panels tended to be used by infantry for marking their positions to tactical air

great job, amazing and didactic..I see that you never use paints by Mig jimenez
Thank you! I really enjoyed working on this lovely little kit. I've never had much luck with Ammo paints at all, so don't really bother with them. But I hear that their weathering products are good
I use them for base color and they work well for me, to paint pieces separately, Vallejo covers more. Thank you.
Good job, boots should be dark brown👍
they won't be seen once in place, so just blanked them in grey to safe paint ;)
So nice dude
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it!
