    Thanks for this! I just did my big chop and At first I was in love!!! My curls were popping and so easy to maintain but it seems like the more my hair grows, the less curl and more frizz that I get. I will definitely be trying these techniques. Thank you!

    that is what I've been doing wrong. I was rubbing. now I spray in water, then blot/crunch in Shea Moisture curling smoothie, then blot/crunch in Tresemme Flawless Curls gel in. Spray with a little more water. Crunch and then shake, shake, shake. My coils form and dry nicely.

    Wow, Thank you...I really needed this video. I'm just starting my big chop and I swear I have so many products and tools. Yesterday, I brought my last product( Uncle Funky"s daughter) I still have a little bit of relaxer in my hair. I came home a proceeded to rub the UFD in to the sides of my hair, because I was so excited, when nothing happened I was so disappointed, and remembering how the Lord told me to stay off of UA-cam...lol God Blesd You!💞

    Hi Kaye!! I LOVE your channel and have subscribed. I have taken a break from being a private flight attendant and gone natural. It is a very new experience. I believe that I am 4c. • @KayeWrightPrettyPixies
      @KayeWrightPrettyPixies  6 років тому +2

      Of course I don't mind you asking. I think I'm a 4b. In the crown of my head my texture is more kinky and thicker and in the back at the nape of my neck it's a looser wave so I probably have multiple textures in my head, but that's common.

    I don’t think this works on 4c hair where you cannot really enhance a curl where there is no curl pattern. Not unless you take the strands of 4c hair and twist it with your fingers with plenty of gel and water, and I found that to be very time consuming.

    Here is my issue. I have TRIED numerous products..Shea moisture..as i am..etc. everything seems to make my hair dry and crunchy. I am looking for a product that defines my curls and make it soft. What would be your advise on what to use as a shampoo, conditioner, leave in and something for definition of my curls?. My hair is as long as yours is in this video. And it has to smell good, lol

    • @KayeWrightPrettyPixies
      @KayeWrightPrettyPixies  6 років тому +1

      Olive oil works well for me as a leave in. Sometimes I just use olive oil and a soft hold gel. Some soft hold gels that I like are the one in the video - Jamaican Mango and Lime, IC Fantasia clear gel, ECO styler gold, Blueberry Bliss or any flaxseed based gel. Shampoos and conditioners that moisturize for me are Shea Moisture moisturizing shampoo, Oyin handmade conditioners, Camille Rose shampoo and conditioner. I also use my own mix of aloe vera juice, water, glycerin, giovanni direct leave in and water

      @@KayeWrightPrettyPixies Thank you for your swift response. What's your advice for African type 4C hair texture that wants to achieve your type of curls. I will appreciate your response 🙏

      Hi thank you very much. I have short straight blonde hair but I am a little bit more light skinned than you are, I was trying to use your technique like forever. I will pick up those products at my local CVS.
