My hair has grown out a lot since my big chop 4 months ago. I wear my hair mainly in a wash and go style and I use gel on my wash and go's.
This Salon Pro Gel that is available in Dollar General performed as well as any other gel I've used and that I've loved on my hair. It has a fresh scent and gives a firm hold with no flakes. It also worked well with my leave-in conditioner.
To get a defined wash and go on natural hair TWA -- I start with wet hair, apply a creamy leave-in, rake the gel through in sections and style my edges. My wash and go's last me for 3 days and I refresh the style twice each week.
So glad I went back to my natural hair. I'm loving my curls and I can't wait until I get to be more creative with my styles.

Your hair looks absolutely beautiful. Everyone says this gel is a dollar but where I live they are selling it for $2.75. Still a cheap price but I would prefer paying $1 lol. This is a great gel overall. I love it. I have two jars already.
