- I have loved this cardigan for a few years now, and decided to knit one myself by reverse engineering the design. I think the result turned out pretty good!

Beautiful 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏I’m inspired
Oh bravo 👏🏻 that was so good. Love the big pin idea 🧷 chapter 3 for you could be a knitwear designer if that doesn’t take the fun away 🤔 you’ve got the brain and flair for it. Thanks for sharing, Karen 🥰
Thank you Karen. If I can make my hobby into a career, and still enjoy it, that'll be amazing :D
Another great podcast.TU so much for sharing❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Just wow. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Thank you! I love knitting a little too much.
Sit up straight! Did make me laugh 😂
Haha, my mum still says it to me all the time too.
I’m’ loving this so much thank you……… I have two sons and his expression when you were fitting was just like my ten year old lol.
Haha he thinks they are all “itchy”
Wow, your cardigan turned out beautiful! Well done!
Thank you! I really like it and have been wearing it almost every day.
Ho Clare, I am new here. Really enjoy this video. So freeing to be able to come up with a pattern yourself, very inspiring. Thx🙋🏻♀️
Welcome! I'm still learning the freehand knitting, it's definitely fun. I have another one on the needles at the moment, which I will share in the coming weeks.
I love the sweater Clare. You're so clever and determine. 🥰
Aww that's so nice, thank you!
I just adored watching your process and the finished cardigan is beautiful!
Thank you, I really enjoyed the process of making this cardigan, and I only had to rip it back 3 times :(
This is so unbelievably impressive. You've inspired me to look through my old store bought sweaters for design details! Cheers
Good on you! Let me know how you go.
That was really interesting
Thank you Glenda. :D
Clever to pass over selvage when picking up for back shoulder. Again, I learned something. Thank you!
Happy to help!
Wow! You did a great job. 👏🏾🧶
Thank you :D
You are a magician!❤
Hi Clare! I love your cardigan! So pretty! Your process in deconstructing the original is very inspirational! Blessings
Thank you so much, I really love it too. Luckily I got the same gauge as the sample so there wasn't too much maths involved.
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Awesome job Clare! Love the result! Thank you for sharing!❤
Thanks so much! 😊 I think I'm going to wear this all the time.
Thank you for this very inspiring podcast!
It's my pleasure!
Great work Clare!❤
Thank you! Cheers!
It's gorgeous! I love it!
Glad you like it!
What a lovely icy blue jumper…..please share the pattern you have used; I Love it, so feminine
@@claudettepoirier4772 thank you! It’s Friday by Gregoria Fibers. I removed 2 pattern repeats in each sleeve.
Since you have a contact (yeah, MIL ;) in HKG ask her to check out the bead shops on Yu Chau st in sham Shui Po. I saw a store with a whole selection of hip -and large - safety pins in a handful of colors last week. Couldn’t come up with a use for them myself, but your sweater is just the thing for one of them. Sorry I don’t recall which shop, but it’s one of those on the block of back-to-back bead stores.
Thank you. I hope to go to HK soon myself.
In the meantime I am using a gold Clover stitch holder pin! It looks perfect.
You are an inspiration. Although I started knitting as a little child, I haven't knitted many sweaters in my life. I love the white waffle sweater by Louis Vuitton and wanted to try and knit, but can't figure out if I should start bottom up or top down. Also, I'm afraid to start and waste time if it doesn't work out.
Woo yes give it a try. Starting is already winning.
I love your work and am so happy to find wooly Yarns through you! Just wondering, have you ever contacted them and received a reply?
I haven't had the need to contact them, touch wood. Every order has been perfect. Have you had issues?
For every 1/2 stitch you have more of in your swatch than the garment, compounds, giving a totally incorrect gauge calculation. Never heard of Scanlan Theodore, as an Aussie. Looking on their website. I would not pay $500 for an acrylic/wool/polymide blend jumper -outragous!
You're absolutely right, and maybe one day my swatch patience will appear. Often I would start with the sleeve and use it as my swatch.
