    This is the way I was taught here in Puerto Rico. When he means by "no seeds" is that we're taught that the seeds on the inside won't give us plans. The plant itself continues to "have babies," basically cloning itself continuously by sprouting little ones around it. People here just take a baby out of the ground and replant it somewhere else. I'm looking for a different way.

    *He means well but said it wrong. The Plantain fruit has little black seeds in it. Same with Bananas. He is confused what came first. The Chicken or the Egg.* 🤣

    Nice. Believe you can also divide the corm into quarters (think pie-like sliced quarters down through the corm), and the sections will each produce plant(s). I dug up some mother plants (vs suckers); the big arse corms on the mother plants are much easier to work with if divided, plus you generate more plants per corm.

    This is what I don't get if it has no seeds how did the first tree exsist? Is the plantain a hybrid?

      Plantains and bannans did have seeds but farmers breed-ed off the ones that has less seed over time and they basically use the female plant to grow more trees through the roots sort of like a clone, and for the most part all fruits and bannanas are unfortunately gmo

      Rabian Harris how do you plant them?

    • @rabianharris1170
      @rabianharris1170 4 роки тому +1

      @@rocsih3713 I am from a place called Portland, which is located on the eastern shores of Jamaica, where it is very rainy, and I had to cut down trees out the way so that sunshine could hit the plants. I used Mocap at the beginning and around 12 weeks after, I added fertilizer, which is how I did it; remember, fertilization should be added at least 2 times before you reap.

    • @rocsih3713
      @rocsih3713 4 роки тому

      Rabian Harris oh ok. I’m Jamaican as well. Do you recommend fertilizer for potatoes too? Just curious. I want to plant some tomorrow from old kitchen potatoes.

    • @rabianharris1170
      @rabianharris1170 4 роки тому +2

      @@rocsih3713 If the land you are using is fertile, I wouldn't worry about fertilization of Potatoes, because they are just like yams, which grow naturally
