Combined with stiffer suspension and much higher speeds than previous generation hiluxes(3.0kzte) most of the rollovers were people not realizing how quick they are going. Iv'e had the old model Toyota Fortuner since January 2006, 10.5 Years, nothing has ever gone wrong, nothing has ever broken, it's been totally reliable, it goes everywhere, through floods, across muddy fields, nothing has ever been too much for this car. I'm in Thailand and Toyota Service is excellent and Toyota Dealerships and service centres are everywhere. I think Ford Everest 2016 is greater than Toyota Fortuner 2016 because it has the capability to drive with no regrets you can check the everest trasparency results through the internet. The power of the Ford Everest was so huge than the fortuner. Did you know that on the classification of mid-size SUVs Ford Everest is the King, The fortuner has can't win over the everest. In terms of comfort Everest got it all it is softer than it looks, you will know that Ford don't give a cheaper materials on its vehicles. In terms of Design that is the time fortuner wins over the everest. Again FORD EVEREST 2016 TAKES THE GAME

The ford is such a better car compared to the toyota! They have made them cheaper now which is perfect! The BIGGEST ISSUE i have with toyota is the MOOSE test that you can check on youtube. it has been 10 YEARS and they still have not fixed this! My cuzzin had an accident with this like many others because of the moose test issue and for that reason i will never buy the vehicle. The everest is only R15 000 more expensive now and you get more extras and A PROPER MOOSE TEST VEHICLE. Toyota is only still doing well because of the loyalty but as you can see, that wont hold for long as the ranger keeps outselling it.
Here in my country it's the opposite, the top variant Everest is a lot cheaper than the top variant Fortuner eventhough the Everest is better equipped. The top variant Fortuner we have in my country still uses rear drum brakes. Ouch!
Zero Tolerance it's the same with the price in Jamaica too, the fortuner is actually the most expensive in its class (it's almost the same price as the Prado) and the Everest is the cheapest, although this may be attributed to the Fortuner being in the market since its first generation and this generation's Everest is the first one that is dealer sold.
Very objective review. Keep up the good work. However i would give the win to the Everest not so much for the value but i think you get an overall better experience with it than the Fortuner. That, for me is better than saving R45,000. As for the perceived sluggishness of the engine, i think a drag race somewhere in between the review would have settled that. I feel the Everest would win; very marginally though.
An Everest was on fire this weekend alongside the road, so...... ford tries hard to change their brand name. And please, I am not a Ford hater nor a lover. Though, would like to see the Ford Raptor when it lands in SA - looks impressive. Was towing a 260kg trailer on Namibian beaches with my 2.4 Fortuner 4x4 recently through difficult sand, and the Fortuner had no issues in doing so. Was surprised by its capability - have to note that I have more than 20 years of 4x4 experience. I purposely did not buy the 2.8 Fortuner - too many electronics and sea salt humidity does not go along (obviously pricing was also considered - the 2.8 does not offer that much more in performance for R140 000 more - 2018 pricing). Eventually we buy these 4x4’s for its off-road functionality. Not all off-road tracks need all 4 wheels engaged. This is the option provided by Toyota. I like the reliability of the Fortuner with its solid name and history, and Toyota’s dealership network. There is no perfect 4x4, it is all about your specific needs and sometimes pocket. I have seen the almost R2million Mercedes G-lander in Namibia; it will not exceed the Fortuner’s capability. I will still maintain my view that the Landcruiser 79-series is the real/ideal/serious off-roader - this comes with a dent in the pocket

Both are great and to be fair. Ford Endeavour is better in features even Toyota Fortuner does have fairly enough features to use like rear camera. Toyota Fortuner does have the 4.0L engine as optional so let's say that fortuner is more powerful but with less features than Endeavour.
Out topic of fortuner, my father had a 2005 model of a hiace, until now, it runs perfectly and smooth. my father has never ever open the hood since then until now. every car made by a TOYOTA IS A LEGEND.
The Ford Everest is elegant, class, design, beauty, and comfort. The Toyota Fortuner looks like a robotic and animated design. Poor comfort at the back seats.
Sthembiso Lebuso Americans test is awful when they talk about shape! .. people likes those muscle cars with too much loud and annoying sounds with heavy weight that need a gas station in the bonnet , we don't even talk or give a shit about it ! so say your opinions at your county market and don't include your asses in others market like your government do to others countries !
Hi we're getting the toyota fortuner G variant. Just worried we might regret it afterwards. Could u please help us ease our minds? Thanks in advance for those who will comment 👍
You said Fortuner won on engine, cause it feels better "And is more economical" But in the final slide, the Everest is more economical??? Also, why didn't you talk about styling? The Fortuner is ugly AF. These were both 4x4 models, what about offroad capability? It's silly for some people, but why no drag race? the feeling of power is misleading as the build of the ford could of enhanced the feeling of 'lack' of power. Or lighter chassis of the toyota etc. Sitting here watching youtube, I can't see what you're describing, and the only way to show that is an acceleration test. 0 -100 ? 60 - 120 to show torque? Missed a a lot of valuable info here.
The exterior is personal point of view if u think the fortunes is ugly AF then get the everest FFS. And who would fucking cares if the fortuner is faster 0-100km or the other way round, gonna go to the race track with these 2 SUV? Common use ur peanut brain. DUMB FUCK
+wesleysuperman well I have to agree that some off-road information is lacking on the video, but on the other hand I have watched plenty of reviews of these cars and no presenter have ever said that they don't like the way the FORTUNER looks, so I think it's kinda personal. In a whole package the toyota is better! Specially when you take into consideration the reliability of both cars 😎
+Emilio José Vaca what is the reliability of both cars? They're brand new. And if you mean historically, I don't recall anyone dying in a Ford from a stuck accelerator.
i own a 2.2 titanium premium edition ford everest and it is brilliant!! the fortuners ride is very jelly like while the ford everest feels so light and it is well equipped and looks better!!
The Fortuner shows the lack of interior design with regards to space utilisation. The 3rd row seats when folded back and the second row reclined to sit comfortable creates a annoying scraping noise were the seat materials touch. really awful. Also the lack of fold flat seat to create a really usable load space is lazy designing. Combine that with the well under the second row seats that loves to swallow your grocery shopping leaves much to be desired. It is just amazing that issues like that hardly ever get mentioned in reviews is just confirming the bias of the current trend. Never mind about the excellent Sync3 systems and all the other small assistants that the Ford offers.

Lydia Dietzel I think you're referring to a Mercedes there bud.
You know it has a longer warranty?
Make a video about Toyota Fortuner VS Ford Everest Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport
thanks sir excellent reviews I like fortuner better value
I like both, ford for power ,towing and beauty and fortuner for reliability, durability ,Japanese looks and off-road use
Just notice every time there is a point in the Everest's favor the presenter looks unhappy. :-)
🤭i notice you are into details
Anyone else find the more 'narrow' seats in the Fortuner (or Hilux) more comfortable and supportive while driving winding roads?
When will we get the updated version
8:24 did anyone notice check engine light on the ford everest dash ;-) .ford seems to have some reliability issues here
Lol the engine isn't even on...
Both are great and to be fair.
Ford Endeavour is better in features even Toyota Fortuner does have fairly enough features to use like rear camera. Toyota Fortuner does have the 4.0L engine as optional so let's say that fortuner is more powerful but with less features than Endeavour.
The Fortuner with 4.0 V6 is only sold in the Middle East, Latin America and South Africa markets.
Out topic of fortuner, my father had a 2005 model of a hiace, until now, it runs perfectly and smooth. my father has never ever open the hood since then until now. every car made by a TOYOTA IS A LEGEND.
What is the title of the song in 0:20? Please :)
Nice , make some more
i'll take the fortuner with everest's look
Ford everest is the best car super unique car for any terrain
I'll take the Toyota always
The Everest also has trailer sway functionality
Whats the name of the song that plays from 0:20 guys?
Which of them have options for captain seat on the 2nd row?
I just like Ford everest because it's good at offroad and she have a mod
First!!! The new Fortuner looks much better in the flesh.
The Ford Everest is elegant, class, design, beauty, and comfort. The Toyota Fortuner looks like a robotic and animated design. Poor comfort at the back seats.
The Fortuner looks horrible in the flesh. Awful.
+Ahmad Zain you know that Ford means Fix or repair daily we have a ford everest 2016 but it was a mistake .... But what car do you have?
Sthembiso Lebuso Americans test is awful when they talk about shape! .. people likes those muscle cars with too much loud and annoying sounds with heavy weight that need a gas station in the bonnet , we don't even talk or give a shit about it !
so say your opinions at your county market and don't include your asses in others market like your government do to others countries !
Ford is better whatsoever
Ford Everest is better than Toyota Fortuner for me.😀
Perfect to be exact. Class, design, comfort, elegance.
But unreliable and breakable

you should remind pple to subscribe all the time great reviews
Hi we're getting the toyota fortuner G variant. Just worried we might regret it afterwards. Could u please help us ease our minds?
Thanks in advance for those who will comment 👍
What color is the everest in this video? is it aluminum gray?
Nice review
everest is good
The Everest wins bro cause I have seen the features and also went to Durban with it
You said Fortuner won on engine, cause it feels better "And is more economical"
But in the final slide, the Everest is more economical???
DUMB FUCK
lucky me Well, thank you for bringing your intelligence to the conversation.
i agree that the fortuner is ugly af and lost its SUV credentials as soon as it became fluidic.
i mean c'mon man.
an suv, fluidic? fo
That’s not a topline everest tho, no sunroof and daytime running lights, but it matched the top fortuner
i like the everest and fortuner next year i gonna buy everest but is one million if new in philippines
ford Everest is my favorite...
willl there be a navara based suv??
That Ford Everest is still superior even in 2022!
Crap, Everest are a heap of manure!!
I prefer the Toyota
i own a 2.2 titanium premium edition ford everest and it is brilliant!! the fortuners ride is very jelly like while the ford everest feels so light and it is well equipped and looks better!!
its awd btw
and my premium has powerfold seats and powerfold trunk
Emeylen Espinosa is it true it has many fixes and repairs needed
