Dom was and will always be my favorite fighter his slick trash talk, his movement, his striking and wrestling I was always amazed. Such a great video! I can recall watching Dom and many other greats fighting years ago in the WEC before I even knew what the UFC was. Dom has come through so much adversity, and beaten it every time. A true testament to his character. We can’t stop aging, and it’s hard to see and appreciate as we all get older, and eventually fade to a memory. Having said that, it would be cool to see Dom avenge his losses if he could before he exits the octagon for the last time.
I've got a limited network but I've used it to sing your praises. As a long time viewer of MMA and general obsessive of the sport it's difficult to change my opinion on things. I still think Pride was the pinacle of MMA and Palhares should be banned from MMA. One opinion, long held, was my disdain for Jon Jones. Your series actually changed my opinion it. I can't wait to see this one on Dom and I hope you the best in your future creations.
I appreciate that a lot my friend! It's always my pain goal to be as empathetic as possible to these athletes so to hear that from yourself is really nice! Can't wait to share this one honestly a lot of hard work went into it! Plenty more content to come over the next few months got some big projects planned.
Palhares wouldn't let go even after the ref said stop. Guy was a lunatic with a loose screw. I freaking love dom cruz, he's so well spoken, intelligent, bantamweights greatest fighter coz he beat all the best at bantamweight
These videos you’re making are amazing bro. It’s obvious you put a lot of time and effort into each one of these, and as a fan of this sport, I greatly appreciate it. 🙏🏻
Great job on this documentary. It really made me see things differently about Dom and just how impactful and strong of a person/fighter he really is. Documentaries like this really highlight the toughness, not just physical but mental, these fighters have to have in order to compete at the highest level. Respect
This is an awesome video, man. I can see the hard work you put into it and appreciate you creating content. Something great about Dom was that he is such a unique fighter and I still haven't seen anyone fight like him, with that wide, looping-punch stance. I saw a random comment before the Chito fight where they said he was undefeated in non-title bouts, and I think that says a lot to how consistently skillful he was. Again, great video and the editing is done so well! I especially liked those shots where you would obscure the background and slowly zoom into the foreground of the fighters during their fights. Congrats on your consistency with exercise and I hope that goes well for you!
Thank so much for your comment it all means a lot! Dom will always be a legend crazy that he is still fighting at this point. again thanks for your kind words means a lot

Dom is one of my favorite athletes of all time and one that I have always looked up to and been inspired by. His post-fight press conference after his fight with Cody where he says "Loss is a part of life" and "I was there. That was 100% me." The way he owns his L's and moves on and still maintains his greatness as both a man and a fighter, that "Let's get back to work" mentality will always be something I strive for no matter what I do in life. Thank you Dom for everything you've done and continue to do for the sport and also for the role model that you have been for so many people out there who struggle with their demons, their mental health, their obstacles in life, and I pray that they can all overcome whatever it is they're going through just as you have. "Discipline = Freedom."

@@awiseman93 A couple things actually, I got a couple "Different" genre videos before the next documentary just to give me a little break and some time to write. But that Doc will more than likley will be a certain rivalry involving a Street Fighter with cuban roots and a fighter trying to make america great again
Of all the mma fighters who deserve a biopic, Cruz ranks up there with GSP, Jones and Silva. What he accomplished despite the crazy hand he was dealt is almost fairy-tale and grossly undeappreciated. The fact he invented his own style that is still effective to this day despite literally selling courses of it online is also ridiculous. I know this sport is unforgiving, but that performance vs Vera gives me hope Cruz is able to end his career in the most historic way possible, by becoming the oldest and only 3x UFC Bantamweight champion.
Another amazing video. Whenever Ariel had Dominick on the phone listening to the absolute heartbreak and sadness in his voice had me tearing up. It's extremely inspiring listening to Dom on Joe Rogans podcast all those horrible injuries over and over again. Dom obviously his employment is a UFC professional fighter and that's how he make money so it severally messed with him. Then him not knowing who he truly was without fighting suffering from depression and seeking therapy to help him with it. We all know for a fact some people that suffer from depression end up unfortunately ending their own life's. Dom coming back after not only healing from several injuries but years being out of the cage to him fighting like he hadn't been through anything nor ring rust. You did a really great job putting this all together!! Thank you!! I really appreciate all the hard work you put into your content it means a LOT!!

Dom was and will always be my favorite fighter his slick trash talk, his movement, his striking and wrestling I was always amazed. The fact that he blow both knees out and had his pillow hands broken sidelined for about 3 years comes back and win his belt back is truly amazing. When he retires I’ll always put him up there in the goat decision and he’s be best bantamweight of all time.
You’re such a top notch creator. Can’t wait for the next one.
thanks so much Alan thant means a lot, more to come!
14:18 Chris Leben laughing while Urijah talks about what a bad dude he is - gold.
This whole doco is a beautiful portrait of an all-time great. Thankyou sir.
Yeah Chris's reaction is so funny aha
I have been waiting for this! Thank you man, you are making MMA better with these videos.
Appreciate you medoo! Super excited for you to see this one!
@@MixedMartialAcademic This was one of the best you made, this feels like an absloute movie, especailly the ending, telling about how all of the top old guys ended, finishing this unbelieveable trilogy of videos, a lot of learning material for someone like me, new lessons and also reminders of lessons i already learnt, i can't express how much i appreciate your work and quality of the videos, truly pieces of art!
Also it's getting closer, the beginning of my journey, everyday it is closer, and I'm trying my best to be ready for that when school ends i could start my life.
This is one of the best documentaries I have seen in a long time thank you
You just did something I didn't think was possible liking Dom...his story is so inspirational..I'm so hyped now going to my crappy 9-5 job
Never understood why he rubs people the wrong way but then again like yourself I guess a lot of people dont know what he is like when he isnt shredding people with his trash talk aha
This was easily one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen. Incredibly well done.
Out of anybody I’m so excited for this post in particular. Can’t wait to see your insight on one the incredible minds of mma
He is honestly one of my all time favourites and learning his story in more detail really made me a bigger fan which I didn't know was possible. I can't wait to share what I have learnt!
An excellent documentary and the thumbnail for me is oddly captivating. Such good work man
You deserve more subscribers, you are underated. I love these MMA documentaries. A lot of people don't appreciate it MMA as a mainstream sport such as boxing and other sports. Your bringing the sport to more eyes, keep up the good work
Underrated feud. The entire thing with Faber, culminating on Garbrandt winning the title is an amazing story. Then, the implosion with TJ, with a sprinkle of Conor in the mix.
Dude, I'm obsessed with MMA, and your videos are insane- I never take time to comment, but you deserve 👏 kudos! Great production and insight throughout.
The way you presented that Dillashaw Cruz fight was cinematic. Better than most high budget fight vids. The editing with that deep steady breath
Goosebumps
And im a fighter who never gets phased
you and patrick gavia are each one of the best ufc/mma content creators out there who educate casuals like me on the sport and gain more knowledge and interest in it. thanks!
Patrick does incredible work, honoured to be considered in the same catagory!
1000% agree also check out modern martial artist channel it’s more educational than this but very interesting too
Dude!!?? Your Kicking ass on these documentaries man. Very much appreciated! God bless
Thank you so much Jesse!
He was so far ahead that he had to fall so far behind...
I love that!
@@MixedMartialAcademic and I love you man but not in a Brokeback way, can't wait for your next deep dive. I doubt you'd do boxers but if you did: Usyk, Usyk and Usyk would be a great choice imo.
And STILL became a 2x champ
Great video mate, you really do the fighters justice whenever you make your documentaries!
Thank you mate, and thanks so much for your continued support watching these!
Dom was and is a legend, he hopefully will have a glorious media career
I love him in the commentary booth
He needs to get into ASMR or narrate a book. I love his voice tbh 😳
@@tacefairy "Dominick Cruz reads Dr. Seuss" is something I would totally be down for
The way you closed out this, was beautifully poetic. An audible oof escaped me when you said “honest.”
Thanks so much Jonathan that means a lot!
i dont comment on alot of videos but i watch alot of them. this was genuinely one of the best put together documentaries of a fighter i've watched outside of a professional cut documentary. well done and thank you
Wow high praise thank you so much my friend that means a lot!
It was long but I was happy it was!
I don't comment on many videos, either. I like mittens !
Incredible documentary. This trilogy of cody dom and tj videos is great
Thank you mate I am glad I fianlyl pieced them all together, it was always the plan! saving the best story line for last aha!
🔥 great work TY
@@MixedMartialAcademic you seem like a great creator and a great dude I admire your work ethic and love your videos bro keep pushing bro
Lovely video. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
These videos you’re making are amazing bro. It’s obvious you put a lot of time and effort into each one of these, and as a fan of this sport, I greatly appreciate it. 🙏🏻
Your documentaries are getting more and more professional looking forward for the next video
Thanks for your efforts
More to come man, thanks so much for the support!
Great job on this documentary. It really made me see things differently about Dom and just how impactful and strong of a person/fighter he really is. Documentaries like this really highlight the toughness, not just physical but mental, these fighters have to have in order to compete at the highest level. Respect
Super underrated channel this is awesome 👏
Thank you Will that means a lot!
Truly becoming a Master of your craft, good sir. Amazing style, Amazing content, True dedication to what you do. Can't wait for the next one.
Thank you so much robert! Slowly getting there with everything, I only hope to get better at telling these stories! Thanks so much for your kind words
Great video!! Don is in my top ten greatest wec/UFC's best fighters of all time. His unorthodox style was so awesome to watch win lose or draw.
I didn't really know much about Cruz. I don't follow fighters' lives much outside the ring. But this was exactly what I needed to see today.
Amazing video. This channel is pure gold
Thanks so much man I appreciate it!
Team Alpha Male used everything they had to defeat one guy. Ultimately, they finally beat him, but in doing so, they self destructed.
Masterpiece as usual. Great work man wow
Great doc. Wishing you deserved success.
Thank you my friend!
always a treat when you upload! love your docs man
Appreciate you always supporting my friend, always nice to see your name pop up with another comment, it goes a long way!
Dom will always be a legend crazy that he is still fighting at this point. again thanks for your kind words means a lot
men i am new guy to ufc i've bought the game for fun 2 years ago and it amazed me very much so i decided to follow it like a diehard fan and finding your channel was a gift from god, exceptional editing and levels of production above everything i've seen on youtube on MMA. Thank you for your devotio. and interest to the sport that we all love
Dom met him and was like "Oh, yeah? Fuck you."
ahaha pretty much
Phenomenal video. Beautifully written.
Cruz's resistance towards the victim, woe is me mentality is something I also strive for. We must master perseverance in this life, or else be miserable, or worse.
Great documentary!!!!!! Absolutely love the channel and all of your doc/pieces you have put together regarding mma. The narration and production is done extremely well and super informative!!! Keep up the great work and looking forward to the future content!!! Much appreciated sir.
This channel has got to be one of my favorite breakdowns of ufc fighters and their history crazy how good of production it is
Dom was ahead of his time in the beginning but the sport eventually evolved above his ceiling
Not really he was injured
Hard not to subscribe after the work put into this. Great video 👍🏻
“Only after letting go, and surrendering himself to fate. Only then the world started coming back together.” 🧘♀️🌎
This is one of the best things I've ever seen. Well done man. Wow.
Pre Zuffa WEC was awesome too. Olaf, Razor Rob, Nate Diaz, Fn Gabe Ruddiger? And a bunch of legit MMA pioneers.
Really really good video, had chills multiple times. Wow, what a career
You and Napoleon are the GOATS of mma content
Can't wait until this channel reaches 500k+
The algorithm will smile on you soon enough and everyone will discover this hidden gem of a channel. Godspeed
I appreciate you my friend, I am super blessed with what I have already and am always greatful!
Genuinely love the effort you and your team put behind these. Love this stuff man cannot wait for another one of your videos
Appreciate you man, I'm trying my best to get more content out as soon as!
@@MixedMartialAcademic we'll be here waiting patiently! Could you give us a hint as to what you've got planned next? 👀👀👀
@@awiseman93 A couple things actually, I got a couple "Different" genre videos before the next documentary just to give me a little break and some time to write. But that Doc will more than likley will be a certain rivalry involving a Street Fighter with cuban roots and a fighter trying to make america great again
Great video!
The most unique fighting style ever 100%
This was brilliantly made & edited.
Dom is such a cool & intelligent human being & fighter....👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Of all the mma fighters who deserve a biopic, Cruz ranks up there with GSP, Jones and Silva. What he accomplished despite the crazy hand he was dealt is almost fairy-tale and grossly undeappreciated. The fact he invented his own style that is still effective to this day despite literally selling courses of it online is also ridiculous.
I know this sport is unforgiving, but that performance vs Vera gives me hope Cruz is able to end his career in the most historic way possible, by becoming the oldest and only 3x UFC Bantamweight champion.
I think he is gunna get back some great wins!
Very good video it's put together really well. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks so much for your insight kylie! and I really appreicate your kind words!
@@MixedMartialAcademic No problem! Just being honest. Your content is literally one of the best on this subject!!
Dominic is the GOAT in Bantamweight, he beat TJ on juice.
Truly a fantastic Fighter!
Dude, aside of the great story told here, you have a gift for telling it so well. It's one of the best mma documentaries I've ever seen.
Absolutely love Cruz!!!
Absolutely amazing doc! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your kind words
1:04:37 "and the man who knocked the EPO out of TJ" lmao
I was laughing so hard
Headshot. Dead. - Leon Edwards
