As a teacher I relate to both of your stories. I feel like some people have been told that "English is so easy" and "natives don't even know grammar" too much and it shows. Native English speakers will generally never call out anyone for their mistakes in English and we''re very used to speaking with non-natives compared to other languages. There's also a lot of content out there that goes like "A2 level vocab vs C2 level vocab " which confuses learners and makes them always strive for the most complicated answer and think that we're dumbing it down for them when we actually just teach "natural speech". My lessons are also very very communication focused (partly because I'm dyslexic myself), and most students find that so fun and revolutionary, but some aren't interested in, like you said, playing board games and talking about Aliens. :p I need to work on this, but it's so much easier for me to create lessons for women and younger people.
I really love your podcast, especially in video format like this. So if possible, please do the podcast in this format too. Have a great day teacher Emma. Take care, much love
@@ProcrastinationwithEmma I mean to say in the video format, here on UA-cam, where we can also see you while listening to you. On Spotify, we can only listen to people, we don't see them while talking. I like to see people when they're talking that's why I like the podcasts that are in video format on UA-cam. So if possible, upload your podcast on UA-cam as well when you upload them on Spotify. If it's not possible then it's completely fine, I'll listen to your podcast on Spotify. And thank you so much for all the hard work that you do in providing such valuable online contents and making it easily accessible for all of us. I'm grateful to you for this on behalf of each and every person who consumes your online contents. I wish all the great things, happiness and good health to you. Have a great week, teacher Emma
Oh gosh, I missed this contagious laugh ^_^ Yeah, we (I) definitely need more procrastination podcasts. Btw, are twitch streams still alive? Lovely background!
I wish you the best

No matter how good you are, people always criticize you. Perhaps, it's human nature... So, just ignore the nonsense and enjoy comments like that of Mr. John Buffalo, the old man who's 97 years old. He seems to have taken real offence at your videos and podcasts 😀. He seems jealous of you 😂 In this age of information technology, where you can easily access information through the internet, it's not difficult to identify who is fake or who is real ... You are podcasts are really fun to watch as you have a good sense of humour ...
Hello! Thank you! How to choose an English teacher? I know how most of men choose their English teacher. It has to be a beautiful woman. She has to be physically attractive. That's it 😄 It doesn't even matter if she's a good teacher or a bad teacher 🤣 So, the choice is simple. I'm telling the truth, I'm telling the truth 😁
Yeah, exactly! Just find out what their fee is and move on instead of 1. bitching about it, 2. insulting them, or 3. trying to haggle the price down. Haggling is cultural, of course, but when you offer such an insultingly low price in comparison to what the person is already charging, you're just taking the piss at that point. Keep doing what you're doing, Henry! Thanks for listening.
