BLACKPINK not even doing anything as a group for nearly 2 years & people still talking about them. And this comparison have been going on since late 2018 & nobody has ever replicate the success BLACKPINK as a group has made.
I think Blackpink will have no competition for a long time. Blackpink is very VERY popular and has become the standard for kpop ggs. Even people who don't listen to kpop knows Blackpink. When kpop fans watch kpop, non kpop listeners think they are watching Blackpink or BTS. Currently, I don't see any group surpassing Blackpink's popularity and success. Blackpink is the reason I got into kpop as well. Their hit song Ddu du Ddu du was so popular at that time, so I checked them out, and fell into the kpop hole. I think a lot of people got into kpop because of Blackpink. Their popularity is no joke.
Is so funny how kpopers are the first ones to deny BP impact and influence in the Kpop industry, you all don't want to accept that they are the biggest girl group, Kpop representative girl group and the most successful in the industry, you all make fun of their mistreatment and says that they can't be influential to other groups/companies because "they aren't artists they are IG models" and etc, but are the first ones to compare every fucking new girl group to them, a group break a record or get a little success and your first thought is to see if BP did it or didn't, you see that a new gg is going to debut and is like you are waiting just to compare and belittle BP saying that their music is shit and that the new gg has more talent, and the moment that Blinks come to defend BP you all get mad.

Okay. In my opinion, they are showcased as models also and they want to achieve the BP has. However, BP has naturally evolved with themselves with additional strategy from YG and also BP has natural charm, aura and confidence that will capture your attention. Im really not into kpop before because I don't like cute-sy and all dancing, i watched/heard & know other kpop groups before BUT when I saw Lisa's solo eversince I checked all kpop groups and BP has my attention always. I do checked others but always going back to BP.

Tbh, I watched their debut music video and honestly the video itself was great but the music was not that outstanding, and if u want to be on the same level with blackpink you have to be both. That's why i feel like aespa is the 4th generation blackpink becuz they are already making appearances in big shows and big brands in less than 2yrs.
