Google security is superb despite how terrible are in terms of privacy and transparency, the main reason why GrapheneOS choosed Pixel smartphones is due their verified boot and Titan M/M2 chips on it, that are also open source. De-bloat, randomization of RAM and sandboxing apps are a big deal at mitigating vulnerabilities. Basically a Pixel with GrapheneOS offer the best of both worlds, with a secure, private and high-end specs.

As a multi-generational Pixel owner with GrapheneOS as my daily driver - my biggest gripe with Graphene is backup. The Nextcloud backup option is so, so broken, and the USB backup works like a charm but is manual and takes a *long time* to complete. Neither of these options are ready for mainstream adoption. Other than that, the Pixel's running GrapheneOS are really great and I highly recommend them.

    First off…
Thank you, for all of the hard work you contribute to the community!
Especially, in the privacy and security area!
I love your channel. You’re always teaching people something and actually recommending good advice for them to follow if they’re looking to enhance their privacy/security.
Unlike most UA-camrs who are just sellouts, peddling VPN subscriptions.
    😂🤣😂
But, I just want to say that you don’t look like what I thought you would. L😂🤣😂
But I mean that in a good way.
Also, you have a nice head shape.
If you would just go hit up a good barber and have them give you a fresh fade and reshape that beard (just have them trim off the split ends if you want to keep the length and grow it out), you’d be absolutely killing them!
A lot of men don’t realize how important it is to be a regular customer at the barbershop.
Not only will you look better, but, you’ll also feel a million times better as well.
Theres nothing wrong with taking some pride in your appearance!
Plus, the barbershop becomes something like a safe haven/therapy session…
ESPECIALLY, if you have a good barber!
I’d recommend looking for one who fits the profile of an original old school barber. These guys are often independent thinkers and traditional in their values and enjoy taking about things on the topic of privacy/security/off-grid/survival techniques/etc.
Thanks again, for all of your hardwork!

This is what we need, I have an OG pinephone and it was a terrible experience to begin with and then the pine64 devs made the pinephone+ so that you can only use manjaro, so they have no respect for the community.
We aren't getting solutions to the smart phone problem, they are creating even more problems with their "solutions".
After two years the phone is junk, it don't work anymore, the hardware failed and I'd have to get a new one which is not gonna happen.

I also really liked the flavor of android that it was running, and I don't think I used any Google exclusive features (meaning, I'd probably like something like Graphene too). Seems like a nice, sort of superior option for when I want to move.

@@Sasha-zw9ss Look, I'm not going to sit here and defend the choices that these guys have made for their devices, but I will say that what I've discovered about Android is that because you can update system applications independently l-and assuming that graphene will continue to support their old releases for a long time to come-you don't really have to worry about them aging nearly as much as you do with an iPhone. So there's nothing to stop you from getting a slightly older device that would be within reach and still have a pretty good experience. It won't have a headphone jack though so like I said I can't really excuse them on everything.
