Flat Water Kiting with the Insta360 One X2 and Back Bar (Long Edit)

- My first time using the Insta360 One X2 and the backbar on my twin tip. The wind was super light, but the 15m Chrono pulled through.
I was initially worried about using the backbar with my harness, but I hardly even noticed it.
Seems to be decently built. you need to set it up higher than you might think. Probably up a 45 degree angle from perpendicular to your back. Also, the lens covers in the water don't work great, so I took them off to get these shots.

Great video. Did you use the standard insta360 selfie stick for this with the back bar? I've seen reports of it breaking. My back bar is on order now.
Yeah, just the standard one. Mine broke as well, but I hit pretty hard, see my other video. It’s typically the teeth on the rotation that break, but only if you land on it or something. Crank it up super tight so that It doesn’t erode the teeth. Also, setting it up higher, instead of perpendicular can help. Send vids when you get it!

are you using the official Insta360 waist strap? using it over the kite harness? was thinking about getting one, but do not know how good will it be in the water
Thanks, and yes I am. I just put it above the kite harness and it isn't too uncomfortable. I find it the least invasive way of recording kiting. I also like line mounts, but in light wind, sometimes the line mount and camera affect the lines and the way that the kite flies.

Thanks man. Yeah the Insta360 is great. You know it is there, but I was surprised how little it affected me or influenced my session.

Nope, not for this. The camera is waterproof down to 10m without a case.
