First of all- I have great admiration for you taking care of your father. Family always comes first. So respectful. You've trained and guided your sons very well. They do a fantastic job and show a great deal of professionalism. Great company!
We worked on a school in FL back in the 80s. Same thing. We were just pouring the floor. We didn’t do any set up. The superintendent of the job ordered the concrete. I think it was about 100 yards. He had the trucks come all at once. We were supposed to pour at a 4 inch slump. They were there taking test cone samples etc. The mud was getting hot and was coming out of the truck at about a 3 inch slump. The superintendent wouldn’t let us add water. After much complaining he told the driver of one of the trucks to add one quart of water. The driver said are you serious? He filled up his big gulp cup with water. Then he threw the water up in the air into the hopper. Maybe a cup full made it into the concrete. We walked off the job and never went back.

Living in California, we decided to private school my children. My wife is a teacher in the school district and she would never allow our children to be in that environment. Just FYI.
@@OdellCompleteConcrete I don’t blame you but it sucks that we keep losing hard working people from this state because the government has lost its mind. Wish we weren’t controlled by the ignorant masses.

Schools seem to have a lot of rights over peoples kids in California. What makes them more qualified to deal with the sexuality of someone's child, any child, than the parent? As far as I can tell teachers in general are not successfully producing graduates that can read, write or do math, certainly not think critically. In any case I do appreciate your great concrete work Dave. Thanks!
I live in Los Angeles. Due to the COVID mandates where they required children to be vaccinated in order to return (100% safe and effective btw) we started homeschooling. Now, with all the teacher activists that are encouraging kids to do things behind their parents back it's one of the best decisions we've ever had.
Why won't the unified school district hire union workers again? Please, no pun intended? You will think the unified school district has their Carpenters and construction workers?
Im sorry, can you clarify what you mean when you say you don't concur. Are you saying you dont agree with the schools trying to perform sex changes on kids without notifying the parents?
Why do you think that the school not having to notify you as a parent is a good thing? I can’t understand that kind of thinking. I am a long time viewer, I think that your comment has lost me as a viewer. As a parent of 3 kids, my oldest being 32 years old I just can’t imagine that way of thinking.
@peteogrande - So, if your kid wanted to be blind because he thought it was cool to wear an eye patch, you'd take him to the doctor to have his eye surgically removed? Don't you want them to be who they want to be?
I’m confused David. How can the hiding information from the parents about a confused kid be beneficial, but you even said its not what you would want? I hope I’m just missing your sarcasm, because nothing is cool about helping kids change their sexual identity behind a parents back. If it is sarcasm, you may want to clarify that, because I get your monotone commentary and I sense a hidden dig towards this schools policy.

That sounds right, I've been there too
It amazes me how much the concrete is touched after pour just to get it to a good finish.

This has 3/8" gravel, not as good as bigger rock, but all the steel should hold it together
Without notifying you ?! That’s crazy lmao
@jorgeperez-pb4vr
If they laid tarmac instead of concrete and told the school that it's concrete would they believe you?
Yes it is
@@wjf0neThey could say the tarmac identifies as concrete.
Schools can be picky
They might be ok with it . But
They come by with a 2 ft smart level

All depends on dsa inspector
I guess it depends on who you know
Nice 👍

Be careful on that second pour guys. I could see a lot of shins getting banged.
