- Come along with us on a valley quail hunt in Southern Idaho. An epic day full of opportunities and excellent work by Cooper. We even found a couple pheasants! Enjoy.

Cooper was a great bird dog. I would watch your videos and tell my wife, “Wow, Cooper is a retrieving machine!”. Love the retrieve out of the creek at the bottom of the drop off. Pretty awesome that you trusted him and let him work and he came up with the bird! Great video. Sorry for your loss. Cooper was a good friend.
Thanks for the kind words. He really was an excellent retriever.
Wow! Not losing a single a single bird in that thick cover is very impressive. I love Coopers resolve, he's like "you're not getting away on my watch bird" RIP Coop! Pointing long tails in the great beyond.
That swim down the creek for the wet quail is a top memory of mine with him.
That Cooper is a Superstar! Some amazing retrieval work, wow. 🙌🏼
Glad you liked it!
I'm getting a puppy from them in 2 weeks I found them on an open web search. I can't wait for the 2024/25 seasons !
Cooper is da man! No lost birds is a wonderful feat.
👊🏻
A helluva a hunt man. I love the buzz of those flushes. Great dog work before and after the shots.
Thanks Dave!
Good stuff! Glad to see some new upland videos! Keep them coming!
Thanks for watching! I’ve got a lot of footage piled up so my goal is to do at least two a month through this season.
Your dog copper is a great dog great retriever really enjoy the video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching. He had quite the day.
Very nice video, and glad to see a new one! Some of the retrieving was great... birds that would have been almost impossible to find without Cooper and Dizzy (Dizzy?). Really enjoyed! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm pretty sure I know that property, as I've hunted it a few times solo and it's TOUGH sometimes with one person. Such thick cover and birds love to come out on the opposite side of the brush/creek of you (of course). Great work with one guy and still shooting over dogs on point!
Yeah it can be a tough spot to hunt.
Awesome video
Thanks Kevin! 👊🏻
Nice to see that you're still out there doing it I was worried cause it was so long between postings
I wasn’t making video’s because I was too busy hunting! 😂 There’s more to come from footage last season before this seasons videos start rolling out. Thanks for watching.
@@NorthwestWingshooters hello good videos i have hunting videos on youtube
Nice video. Good dog work love hunting over a britt
Thank you!
Sure was exceptional retrieving! Thick cover, dry conditions and aromatic sage makes for difficult finds.
Thanks for watching. I’ll pass along your compliments to the dogs.
This must be footage from a previous year??? Considering pheasant season doesn't open until the middle of October in southern Idaho.
On another note, I grew up with Brittany hunting dogs, and hunted over them countless times. They are such a great breed!
Correct, this was shot in November of 2022.
@@NorthwestWingshooters you were out on a beautiful day. Definitely not the November days I grew up hunting in when I was younger when I lived in South-Central Idaho.
I hope you treat those dogs to a beef dinner on post hunt evenings. Great dogs, and shooting. Well done.
Thanks for watching. They’re definitely rewarded for their efforts.
You got some good dogs, i had one like dizzy color wise.
Thank you. 🙏🏻
Crazy retrievals and great shots! What breed of dog are they?
They are Brittanys.
Love the voice prompts you get for the pointing. What system are you running? Great video!!
I’m using the Dogtra Pathfinder 2. I love the voice prompts. I know immediately what dog to look for and head to. You can also program it to just use tones if you prefer, but I’ve found I like the voice prompt better.
Yeah I heard that and thought it was cool.
@@KingsOutdoorLife spent 30- minutes trying to see if I could make my Garmin do the same LOL
Nice hunt, what brand of gun and gauge you used?
I use a Franchi Instinct L in 12 gauge. Thanks for watching!
Was this from last year? Because Idaho quail didn’t open until the 16th, even on game farms….
Yes, last November. You’ll notice by my attire that it was pretty chilly. 🥶 I never finished it during the offseason and figured it would make a great primer for this season. Thanks for watching!
