- Just some leisure flying with my Reliant Sen.
I've been busy these past weeks, but I got a fresh install of Fedora Linux on my PC and set up Star Citizen.
Stay tuned for the upcoming videos
Nice little video thankyou, makes me me want to go back and play SC (by the way you can fit one of the tiny little buggies in the back if you squeeze it)! I use to own a Taurus before i traded it in for the Gatak starter ship.
I'll have to go on an adventure with the buggy in the back next time! Thanks for the tip ;)
Uhh the taurus is great for anything. But I understand the need for the Syulen, it just hits the spot
@@Luix_OS I did own the Taurus in-game but what I meant to mention was the Reliant with the storage area in the back, forgotten the type.
question luix are you using x11 or wayland as the main compositer whille playing cuase when i use kde and wayland it seems to send me into a tail spin when just pressing the f key. just wanted to ask was curious...
Hey! I'm using Fedora 40 with gnome and Mutter, which is a wayland implementation.
I has similar weird problems on NixOS. Some where fixes by switching from borderless to fullscreen.
Otherwise I dont know too much about this. You might want to join the Star Citizen Linux User Group, they probably have a better answer for you! :)
@@Luix_OS thanks for the quicks reply and wills ask around there again know the group used to fly with them in citizen a long time ago.
is this via lutris?
Hey :) yes but with the help from Linux User Group for Star Citizen
They have a nice repo on github and a discord server :)
And it works smoother than windows (for me at least)
@@planetwally same for me
BUT I'm always afraid of updates and worry if something brakes. But for now it runs superb
how do you even get proper performance and so much luck with servers. I havent been able to play due to abismal server performance and in game fps. a 13900k and a 4090 cant even keep up
I was lucky with the server and I get far away from everything.
Otherwise my system is mostly AMD based.
I'm on linux and it runs pretty stable with atleast 60fps.
But server performance is pure luck I guess
I see average 85fps with just a 3950x and RX 7900 XTX running with Vulkan and CIG TSR. Just make sure to disable amd image sharpening. Doesnt boot for me if thats enabled.
Up to a year ago I was getting away with on average with 30fps upwards with an GTX1080 gpu in most places (don't even ask about the cpu, lol)!
