One of these days I need to watch some summary of this show to know what this is about. Titans are big, humans are small, without knowing more, I can’t imagine this being an “anime” series instead of just a movie.
i would highly recommend it if you have the time! AOT is one of the best series out there imo and hiroyuki sawano’s OST is part of what got me into piano in the first place!
Awesome. Creating a channel like yours that goes through anime, video game, and movie soundtracks on piano is my goal haha. Funnily enough I'm finishing electrical engineering too. Keen to see more!
This dream is definitely achievable. SquareEnix offers a LOT of the VGM stuff. Took me a while to record all of them. They should keep you going for a while. This is a good balance. Engineering pays the bill, music keeps us entertained. You got some KH stuff. I’m sure you’ve found my KH albums in the playlist. Enjoy.
This is gonna sound either cocky or plain stupid. This piece is so addictive to play. And when I play from the top over and over, literally I’m in disbelief that such beautiful sound comes out of my playing. I’m my own biggest fan!
This was my final run last night. I thought I was going to record it properly over the weekend. But listening to it a few times this morning I thought, neh, this should be good enough. This is my new favorite. Probably the only piece that’s powerful enough yet fairly simple. I give this 6/10 on difficulty. But it sounds a lot more impressive.
@@Spydrco favorite = 2:33 and 4:07 Strangely, I find 1:02 to 1:05 is not supposed to be difficult, but I still get confused sometimes for some reason. Otherwise the 4:17 arpeggio should be the most difficult part.
Any tips to learn sight reading notes ahead of what you're currently playing? How do people even do that? Like how do you even store that in your brain's RAM
I think the best way to describe is that when I sight read, what I see on the sheet music is directly translated to where the notes are on the keyboard with the hand shape required to play them. So this doesn’t take nearly as much processing power as imagined. Compared to those who don’t sight read well, they need an additional translation in between (ie where’s each note, what fingering to use). Even better example, if you read a book with words you don’t yet know, you have to look it up first and see how it fits the context. Versus just reading it and enjoying the book.
Wow, that was fast. Wasn't Animenz's uploaded like a 2 weeks ago? Anyway, I love your performance. Are you going to do Ashes on Fire sometime soon? That's probably one of my favourites from Animenz's AoT-Pack.
Only discovered this last Friday. Had to purchase the music right away. This is so epic. Ashes on Fire, that’ll come. I have a few before this though. Ashes on Fire is not easy to record error-free. I definitely need more time there. I technically got the piece learned. We’ll see.
This was recorded on Day 6. I wanted to take a few more days to polish. But I haven’t uploaded anything for so long so I kinda just let this one go as is.
I'm delighted watching your videos, I recently bought a digital piano and I'm wondering if one day I'll be able to do 10% of what you do on the piano. Speaking of which, how long have you been playing the piano?
On and off all my life. I’m in my 40s. So, a LONG time. Just keep on playing. Challenge yourself at times, and you improve a bit after every piece you learn. For me to binge recording Animenz, I can feel that my skills are still improving as a result after each piece I play.
@@RichardYangPiano I'm going to start dedicating myself to being able to play the music I like. You can record and post this song: Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso ED - Kirameki, there are few videos of this song on the piano and I think it is very beautiful on the piano
@@Justmewapiano We’re talking about maybe a couple of decades of work. At his level he has an extremely good foundation, which means he started scales and the basis really early. Classical training usually happens first. He studied in the conservatory at the top level. That prepped him for all the composition theories, etc. Then you also need to listen to countless anime music to get an idea of the general structures out there and you need to have played enough music to have the source (base) material for arrangements.
@@Minineko_Piano I only really watch One Piece with my kids. Watching AoT definitely on my to-do bucket list. AoT has such great music I can imagine the show is gotta be really good.
I think maybe 3 days to learn the notes, another day to polish and record. This is one of the easier ones, yet it sounds epic, that’s why I would highly recommend it
@@fanchiu1310 I’m in binge recording mode, I just keep learning and recording. So I really don’t spend too much time to polish further. My channel is like a diary for myself to keep a record of what I’ve played.
You are insane dude.
keep up ur work. I really enjoy ur vids

another master piece
This was a very clean recording and sounds great! I like the theme at the end 5:09 from Shinzou wo Sasageyo, which animenz also arranged.

Not yet. Just took a listen. Might add this only because it’s AoT.

If you were to give me a road map to be as good as animenz or just to be a pianist at that level ,what would the road map be ?
Where’s the starting point?
From a beginner to that level
