Thank you for your video tutorial! I haven’t piano practice about twelve years, but with your explanations I finished this arr. Bauklötze in a month. Special thanks for your visualisation and explanation of fingering and rhythm in section D - it was difficult for me to combine melody in two hands))) Sorry for any mistakes, English isn’t my native language.
This is just what I needed, thanks. I can't read sheet music, so I have to follow the synthesia tutorials. Matching up the notes in that second segment was especially hard but watching and listening to you play it slowly helped me put it together
I truly recommend that you also buy the sheet to support the artist. And read the sheet after you’ve learned the notes. Eventually you will need to learn how to read in order to make meaningful improvement in playing piano.
@@RichardYangPiano yeah definitely. I just never had formal music education, so I've had to teach myself everything I know by watching other people play and copying what they do. I did manage to learn most of the notes, I just need to practice more. Thanks for the advice.
@@nebnos yes. I've learned quite complex pieces this way. I just memorize each note, which can be a bit exhausting, so I learn a section each day, but you will eventually get the muscle memory. And it helps to watch someone else playing so you can see which fingers to use. And occasionally listen to the original piece to make sure you're playing it properly with correct tempo and pressure
This has been the longest week of my life lol TY for the 50 min lesson it's huge you must have taken the time to explain well. I will watch it this weekend and try to finish the pieces 😎
Okay, perfect, thank you very much 😎 I made some mistakes with the rhythm when practicing alone lol But otherwise, I just need to play section L at the right tempo to finish and btw ur fingering tips on this section is very helpful for me However, I think at 23:48 you forgot to play the D with the D an octave higher together with the right hand as it’s written
Thank you so much for your video. I'm currently learning this piece and struggle with it. Your tutorial is really helpful, I hope I can play it like you soon.
Thank you very much for your informative video. I live in Iran and unfortunately we are not able to buy sheets so it was very useful for me. Keep going 💞💞💞
Hmm… not available in Iran. I previously only heard people can’t buy from Russia. Didn’t know Iran is affected too. You’re missing out eh. Seeing those sheets in person is just too cool.
Thank you for this lesson richard, this is my personal favourite song from AOT and I'm just starting to learn this piece through a synthesia video but the fingering can be confusing so this really helps clear things up aswell as lots of useful tips about how to play certain sections Im also considering substituting the last sasageyo part with the “ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn” part that animenz plays at the end of his cover of YouSeeBIGGIRL as that would combine all my favourite parts of the AOT soundtrack into one piece and it appears to me that it could flow nicely. Do you think this would work? Thanks again :)
@@nebnos well, music is a language, if it can be understood, it is good. I’m not very adventurous myself, so I just stick with the sheet. Do visit my Animenz playlist, I have most of Animenz’s AoT now, hope to complete the collection soon.
@@RichardYangPiano I've watched pretty much every animenz aot piece that you've covered 😂they're all incredible I've started learning this piece but I'm torn between this and YouSeeBIGGIRL as to which is my favourite. I'm not sure if you've seen the show so I'll avoid spoiler talk for now but the scene that YouSeeBIGGIRL is famous for has a completely different second half to animenz version which is a variation of vogel im kafig, and I really wish there was a solid arrangement out there that replicated the music from the show because that moment is my favourite scene of anything, ever
Your videos are godsend. So incredibly helpful, thank you for all the effort! I’m having trouble getting my brain around that polyrhythm part in the beginning :/
@@RichardYangPiano Oops you’re right, I suppose I was referring to the section beginning in in measure 14. It’s all 16th notes but feels like each hand is playing a different rhythm haha. Definitely going to slow your video down to hone in on it.
This is great! Even though I don't have the sheets, I still enjoy watching how you approach fingering and dynamics. I am considering Akuma no Ko and Bauklotze for my next study bc they are relatively easy (compared to other Animenz arrangements😅) Which do u think is easier/more fun to play? Appreciate ur help always 😊
This one is the best to play hands down!! This is so satisfying. This is my top personal favorite, trumping Unravel, Howls Moving Castle, Call of Silence. Even that cannot describe how much I love this one.
Thank you so much for the tutorial! Do you think theres a reasoning as to why Animenz uses the right hand to play F# and E at around 7:22? I'm getting away with just using my left hand for it as I find it easier but im just wondering if theres a technical reason that I don't understand, or if its just a stylistic preference.
Several reasons. One, these are accented notes. Right after there’s a B in the bass where you’ll need to change pedal. If play with LH, by jumping back down to the B and change pedal, you just lost the previous note.
@@3737HH This is the perfect size. In landscape mode it displays two pages at once. Anything bigger than I’ll lift my head up higher to see the top line, might be too far from the keys. Anything smaller than with both pages displayed things might be too small.

Poly rhythm?? There’s none here. Everything is straight up 16th, with rests in between. One hand at a time should help.
